Well done Team.Great applause to you all for the tremendous efforts and the outstanding organization witnessed today.Thanks to UNDP for the continuous support towards youth participation in the Constitution Making Process and more specifically for trusting us to journey this with them.The South Sudan Youth Constitutional Working Group-SSYCW and its entire members and the office of Youth Rep.to the R-NCRC is committed to furthering nation wide Civic Education on Youth and Women Charters the prepare Youth and Women for the anticipated Public Consultations.We urge other UN agencies and International Organisations to join us in this noble cause.

As apart of the Outcome Harvest of the Power of Voices project by PAX,I delivered the South Sudan Youth Constitutional Working Group-SSYCW vote of thanks to Ms.Sara the project lead for PAX at the head quarters.

We further discussed the achievements by South Sudan Youth Constitutional Working Group-SSYCW, challenges and opportunities in the Constitution Making Process.

Ms.Sara Ketelaar applauded the efforts exerted by the South Sudan Youth Constitutional Working Group-SSYCW,PAX South Sudan team led by Mr.Emmanuel Ira, Country director as well as AHD.

I would like to send my sincere appreciation to the entire South Sudan Youth Constitutional Working Group-SSYCW team for the tremendous efforts since 2021 to date and let's keep the momentum and hope even though the project is coming to an end.

As the Secretariat of the South Sudan Youth Constitutional Working Group-SSYCW,we grateful for the successful sensitization dialogue on the constitution making process that was concluded on Friday.It brought together youth leaders from political parties faith based groups students and CSOs to enhance Youth participation in the constitution making process.It focused on understanding the CMP ACT 2022 and entry points/strategies for effective Youth parties in the civic education and public consultations as well as representation and participation in the key Constitutional mechanisms like the CDC, PSC and the NCC.We thank PAX and AHD for the support and we remain committed to sensitizating the youth and women to effectively participate in the constitution making process so as to ensure that South Sudan promulgates a People Centered Constitution that builds durable peace 🕊️.

Leadership and Democracy Mission In South Sudan remains committed to empowering and engaging the Youth and Women through sensitization on the Constitution Making Process to enhance their effective and meaningful participation in the civic and public consultations to ensure a that South Sudan promulgates a People Centered Constitution that builds durable peace 🕊️.

During the Youth Forum on Constitution organized by SSYPADO with support from UNMISS,our Executive Director,a Youth who has devoted his time since 2021on chapter six of the R-ARCSS urges the stakeholders in the constitution making process to distinct between Civic Education and Public consultations and urged that adequate time and financial resources be provided to Carter for each stage.Further that Government should grant freedom of press and speech and media freedom.Provide equal political space and implementation of security arrangements to ensure security during the civic and public consultations in the entire Constitution Making Process.

As the Secretariat of the South Sudan Youth Constitutional Working Group,we are grateful for our continuous engagement in Sensitization on the Permanent Constitution Making Process that is to be Federal and Democratic as the path to transition the country into a democratic state as per chapter six of the R-ARCSS and the Constitution Making Process Act 2022(CMP ACT 2022).

We thank UNMISS and SSYPADO for organizing this program to enable us share our progress, opportunities and challenges to enhance Youth participation in the Constitution Making Process, more especially the Civic and public consultations which are the corner stone of the process.

We made it clear, that Civic Education and Public consultations are distinct Processes and should be done separately to ensure effectiveness of each process.

As leadership and democracy Mission In South Sudan,we remain committed to empowering Youth and women in governance , Democracy,peace building, Economic empower among others.
