THE HEAVY GLASS

A Short Valuable Life Story

A teacher stood in front of her class. She picked up a glass of water and held it up for everyone to see.
The students thought she was going to ask, "Is the glass half-full or half-empty?" But she didn't. Instead, she asked:
"How heavy is this glass?"
The students shouted out different weights: "8 ounces!" or "Half a pound!"
The teacher shook her head and said, "The actual weight doesn't really matter. What matters is how long I hold it."

She explained:
If I hold it for one minute, it feels light.
If I hold it for one hour, my arm will start to ache.
If I hold it for a whole day, my arm will feel numb and I might drop the glass.
In every case, the weight of the water stays exactly the same. But the longer I hold it, the heavier it feels to me.

THE MORAL LESSON:
Life is just like that glass of water.
The "water" represents your worries and stress.
If you think about a problem for a minute, you are fine.
If you think about it all day, your head starts to hurt.
If you think about it all week, you will feel frozen and unable to do anything.
You must learn to "put the glass down." It is okay to care about your problems, but you have to rest. If you don't put your worries down at night, you will be too tired to carry them tomorrow.

This story is for entertainment.
