WAASS distributed hundreds of Copies of our latest Publication - A Pocket Guide on Womens Rights in South Sudan to the students, both male and female to have an understanding of the laws in South Sudan and arm themselves with the knowledge to know when their own rights or anyone else’s are being violated and how to defend/prevent/report it.

The performances were used to start a dialogue with the students on Gender Based Violence and how they can help bring an end to the Forced Child practices in South Sudan. WAASS believes that both boys and girls should be included in such activities to ensure that boys understand how to be an ally and not become future perpetrators to girls who are the potential victims of such practices.

After every skits there was an interactive Q&A with the students to get their insights on the subject. Using performative art is one of the best ways to convey a message to the masses.

Women Advocates celebrated Easter Sunday through awarness raising on the "Rights to Fair Trial" in Juba Central Prison as well as giving food and non food items to Female Inmates including their children who were born in the prison and Juvenile (children in conflict with law).

The female inmates appreciated the occasion and presented a dance and drama to show their gratitude to the Advocates as they are going to handle their cases free of charge.
