Financing is crucial to finalise the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD25) Programme of Action and sustain the progress achieved so far. The following strategies can enhance funding efforts:

Increased Commitment from Governments: Encourage national governments to allocate more resources to population and development initiatives in their budgets to ensure the ICPD commitments are met.

Public-Private Partnerships: Foster collaborations between governments and the private sector to invest in population health, education, and gender equality programs.

Localising Funding: Mobilise funds from within, multilateral agencies, and philanthropic institutions to support the ICPD25 agenda.

Innovative Financing Mechanisms: Explore innovative financing tools such as impact bonds, social bonds, and blended finance to attract investment in population and development projects.

Civil Society Engagement: Involve civil society organisations in advocacy efforts to raise awareness and solicit local and international donors to contribute to ICPD25 initiatives.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish robust mechanisms to monitor the use of funds and evaluate the outcomes of investments in population programs, ensuring accountability and attracting further funding.

Advocacy for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Align ICPD25 goals with the SDGs to drum up support from entities engaged in sustainable development efforts, promoting synergies that benefit both agendas.
