Weekly Recap at Scenius Hub

The June HVAC & Refrigeration training continued with participants undertaking practical sessions in air conditioning diagnosis, servicing, and cleaning. Through hands-on training, trainees are building the technical skills required for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in real-world work environments.

Scenius Hub also hosted a public seminar organized by the United South Sudan Party (USSP) under the theme “Building a Modern State through USSP Vision.” The seminar brought together political leaders, experts, and stakeholders to discuss economic recovery through modern agriculture, the role of artificial intelligence in politics, democratic transformation in rural areas, and infrastructure development as a foundation for national unity.

As part of our regular community activities, Scenius Fridays brought together the community for an evening of karaoke, games, social interaction, and entertainment.

The week concluded with Saturday Movie Night, featuring a screening of Michael, for another enjoyable evening at the hub.

Ahead of the Day of the African Child celebration at Gorom Refugee Camp, children participated in a three-day theatre training workshop and arts camp led by Sudanese theatre artist Imad Hassan.

Through storytelling, movement, teamwork, and performance exercises, the children developed their skills and prepared for the stage production The Umbrella Story (Hikayat Mazalla).

The workshop provided a safe and supportive environment where children could express themselves, build confidence, and transform their experiences into powerful stories.

On celebration day, their hard work came to life through an inspiring theatrical performance that captivated the audience and showcased the incredible talent, creativity, and resilience of young people in the camp.

Celebrating the Day of the African Child at Gorom Refugee Camp!

Scenius Hub, in partnership with the Cultural Working Group and community partners ( Darfur Women Organization, C24 TV, Radio Miraya, Earth Organization for Development, SSWOCO, ZAK Media, Derawet Media Group, South Sudan Television (SSTV)), brought together children, families, artists, and cultural groups for a vibrant day of learning, creativity, and cultural exchange at Gorom refugee camp under the theme: “Ensuring Every African Child Has Access to Clean Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene.”

A heartfelt thank you to all the community members, our partners, supporters, performers, volunteers, and media houses whose contributions made this celebration a success. Together, we continue to champion the rights, well-being, and bright future of every African child.
