The student bodies from different
universities, including Upper Nile University and the University of Juba, have officially held a meeting with His Excellency General Charles Madut Akol, Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

The meeting focused on the key challenges facing students during their academic journey.
During the session, the Chairperson of the Aweil Students Association at Upper Nile University,

Mr. Moses Biar Deng Anei, presented the concerns affecting students. He was accompanied by members of the executive, including the Secretary General and the Secretary for Finance, who further elaborated on the students’ situation.
In response,

His Excellency Gen. Charles Madut Akol pledged his full support and encouraged all students to remain committed, confident, and focused on their studies and future careers.

He also emphasized the importance of unity, peace, and the spirit of togetherness that has long existed among the people of Aweil.

The leadership of Aweil Students Association at Upper Nile University, led by the Chairperson Moses Biar Deng Anei, has officially met with the Honourable Minister of Information,Communications Technology, and Postal Services, Ateny Wek Ateny.

During the meeting, the leadership presented some key challenges affecting students through academic progress, including the need for printing machines , tuition fees for the vulnerable students,and the construction of necessary facilities, especially the center for the printer.

In response, the Honourable Minister pledged his support and encouraged all students to remain committed to their education, maintain peace, and uphold unity as sons and daughters of Aweil.

Official Announcement
Today, 9th March 2026, the second batch of students at the Lutheran Church Training Centre has officially begun their training under the sponsorship of the Aweil Students Association in Upper Nile University.
The program is led by the Chairperson, Moses Biar Deng Anei, who officially launched the training. The event was witnessed by the Secretary for Academic Affairs, Amboise Mayar Dhieu Yel.
During the opening, the Chairperson pledged his continued support to the students and encouraged them to remain committed and focused on their training, just like the first group from Ngwal Computer Training Centre, who started earlier.
The leadership wishes the trainees success in their journey and encourages them to work hard for a better future.

Today marks a significant milestone as the 2026 first batch officially begins a new chapter with the start of their training at Ngwal Computer Training Centre.

This is the beginning of an important journey in computer studies and professional development.

On behalf of the Office of Academic Affairs, Mr. Amboise Mayar Dhieu witnessed the team as they officially commenced the training process.
We are also preparing for the upcoming session at Lurthran Computer Training Centre, which will begin soon.
We wish the next group the very best as they prepare to start.

INFORMATION NOTICE

Subject: Shortlisting of Trainees for Basic Computer Training

The Aweil Students’ Association at Upper Nile University would like to inform all concerned students that the shortlisted candidates for the Basic Computer Training program have been successfully selected.
Due to the distance between training venues and for the convenience of participants, the selected trainees will be divided into two groups and assigned to the following training centers:

(a) Ngawal Computing Center – in Thonpiny
(b) Lutheran Church Computer Training Center – in Hai Referendum.

Each candidate will be informed of their respective training center accordingly. All shortlisted trainees are advised to prepare and comply with the training schedule and requirements that will be communicated soon.

Finally, the Aweil Students’ Association at Upper Nile University, led by our Chairperson Moses Biar Deng Anei, successfully met with the deputy Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Honorable Lily Albino Akol Akol
on 17th February 2026.
The leadership, headed by the Chairperson, presented the key challenges currently facing students.
In her response, Honourable Lily Albino Akol Akol pledged her support and offered words of encouragement to all students.

She urged students not to forget their future aspirations, emphasizing that education requires full commitment, determination, and hard work in order to achieve a better future. 👏

The leadership of Aweil students at Upper Nile University, under the able chairperson

Mr. Moses Biar Deng Anei wishes to inform all concerned students and the General Assembly that a meeting was held this evening, during which a sponsorship program was officially launched.

The leadership has approved the sponsorship of twenty (20) students to undertake Basic Computer Training at Ngawal Computing Centre, Thoŋpiny.

• ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must meet the following conditions:
1. Must be a student of Upper Nile University and originally from Aweil.
2. Must present a valid University Identification Card or a recent bank payment slip.
3. Must submit a formal application written in an academic format.
The time given for preparation and submission done is five (5) days only.
Start from Monday, 16th to Friday, 20th of this month.
Deadline........ Friday 20th/Feb/2026

All applications must be submitted in person to the Secretary for Academic Affairs.

Today, the leadership of Aweil Students Association in Upper Nile University, led by our Chairperson Moses Biar Deng, successfully met with the Director and Manager of Raandit Company Limited, one of the most popular companies in South Sudan 🇸🇸.

During the meeting, the leadership explained the major challenges facing Aweil students at Upper Nile University, with special emphasis on the urgent need for a printing machine to support academic activities.

The young and committed businessman, Mr. Bush Malou Kenyang, Manager of Raandit Company Limited, encouraged the leadership to remain strong, focused, and committed and advised them never to give up despite the challenges.

He further pledged his support and encouraged all students to continue prioritizing their education, assuring them of his goodwill and future cooperation.
