Hello everyone, My name is Noemi City and I am blessed with the privilege of studying at a UWC school. I’m honored to be part of a community that offers various opportunities for students to grow in countless number of ways and I hope that I will be able to savor and make use of every opportunity that comes my way. I am currently at UWC Maastricht in the Netherlands and honestly this feels like nothing more than a blessing from God almighty. I aspire to acquire international knowledge in the field of medicine and I’m confident enough that UWC is going to give me a great opportunity to begin building myself for that. UWC is very diverse, with people from different cultures, backgrounds, religions and this challenges every UWC student to understand each other, which I believe is something we need for a greater tomorrow as a globe. I hope to learn from the values and mission of UWC to make my country South Sudan and the globe as a whole a better place. I also pray that through the hardships of UWC God will give me the strength to reach my full potential in order to represent my country as a good ambassador.

Hello Aspiring UWCers
We hope you are all doing well this Festive season.

This is a reminder that the application round for UWC South Sudan will close by the 31st of December, as you celebrate christmas and welcome the New year, remember to finish you application. If you have any documents to submit and application to finish up get ready to send it soon before the 31st.

Its has been noted that there were some difficulties with the submissions and some students required PDF and hard copiess to submit the application. If thats you please email the information to UWC South Sudan and attach all the required documents such as Report Cards and reccommendation/reference letters to get you ready for application review that will start early January.

Meet our UWC Scholar Ropani, this year we having lots of girls joining UWC yayyyy🥳🥳💫. Read what she has to say about her excitement to join UWC. She currently is studying at UWC Maastriach in The Netherlands

" My name is Ropani Joana and by the grace of God will be attending UWC Maastricht . While there I look forward to establishing genuine relationships with different people with different backgrounds from various places of the world in the aspect that I will learn from them as they also learn from me, I also look forward to participating in activities that I love and those that may occur as new to me in that I will learn new things. These will broaden my understanding and knowledge on things. I want to a successful engineer and I believe this opportunity is aligning me towards my career path and my interests in the Engineering field. , In addition to that would like to develop my country , bring positive change and change the perception people have of it . "Hello. My name is Nicole Humwara from South Sudan. I'm passionate about poetry and writing and dedicated to making a positive impact in my community. I am a determined, empathetic, curious, resilient and ambitious individual.
I aspire to become a software engineer and contribute to the development of South Sudan. My dream is to see my country prosper with access to quality education, healthcare and economic opportunities for all.
Attending UWC will provide me with a unique chance to learn from diverse from diverse perspectives, develop leadership skills, and build a global network. I plan to leverage this experience to gain knowledge and skills to address the pressing challenges facing South Sudan, foster connections with like-minded people to collaborate on initiatives benefiting my country and amplify the voices and stories of South Sudanese people globally.

Congratulations to our scholar Sarah Alfonso, class of 2024, who went to UWC East Africa and is graduating today.

She is heading to Vanderbilt University, Nashville Tennesse in the United States

Its great to see what UWC can do for students, its a place to learn, grow and cross all boundary, venturing out of our comfort zones. UWC South Sudan works on making these students go to schools where they can realise their dreams.

Sarah says ' My time at UWC has been bitter sweet, we cried, laughed, studied struggled and survived. If i were told to choose this path again, i still will because it has helped me grow to a person who understands her environment and what it means to be international minded. Let UWC as a whole and UWC South Sudan be a vessel to train more amazing young people who can make South Sudan a better place in the near future'

Our first Round of interview went successfully on friday 1st of March.
Meeting these amazing Young South Sudanese who are willing to venture into the world of UWC and get out of their comfort zones.
