On behalf of the Aguok Community Association, I, Hon. Natalina Aweng Abior Deng, extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, friends, Apuk Community and the entire nation of South Sudan on the passing of the former Chief Justice, Hon. Ambrose Riiny Thiik Madut, who departed this life on 3rd May 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.
This is a profound loss not only to his immediate family and Apuk Community but to the entire country. Hon. Ambrose Riiny Thiik Madut was a pillar of justice, a devoted servant of the nation, and a true patriot whose contributions to the liberation struggle of South Sudan will never be forgotten. He stood firm during the difficult years of the struggle, dedicating his life, wisdom, and strength to the cause of freedom and dignity for our people. His role in shaping the legal and judicial foundation of our young nation after independence in 2011 remains a lasting testament to his vision and leadership.
Throughout his life, he exemplified integrity, courage, and commitment to justice. His legacy is deeply engraved in the history of South Sudan and will continue to inspire generations to come. He was not only a leader but also a mentor and a symbol of hope for many.
During this time of sorrow, we stand in solidarity with his family. We encourage them to remain strong and take comfort in the remarkable life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind. May the Almighty God grant them peace, strength, and consolation. May He bless his children, guide them in all their paths, and uphold them during this difficult time.
As it is written, God gives and God takes away; may His holy name be glorified. We pray that the soul of the departed Justice Riinydit rests in eternal peace.
May his memory live on forever in our hearts and in the history of our nation.
With deepest sympathy,
Hon. Natalina Aweng Abior Deng
