Hate has 4 letters… just like Love.
Enemies has 7 letters… just like Friends.
Lying has 5 letters… just like Truth.
Negativity has 10 letters… just like Positivity.
Hurt has 4 letters… just like Heal.
Fear has 4 letters… just like Hope.

Life will always give us two sides — but the choice is ours.

At Fatima House of Hope (FHH), we guide our girls to choose love, truth, healing, hope, and joy — even when life has been difficult. Because every girl deserves a future filled with light.

A QUESTION THAT CAN CHANGE A LIFE 👀

If people had to describe your impact in one sentence… what would they say?

In 1888, Alfred Nobel—the man whose name we now associate with brilliance and peace—read a French newspaper and saw something shocking:

his own obituary.
It was a mistake.

His brother had died, and the reporter confused their names.

But what shook Nobel wasn’t the error.
It was the message.

The article didn’t praise him.
It judged him as a man who profited from inventions used in war—and painted his legacy in a harsh, unsettling way.

Nobel didn’t argue with the newspaper.
He looked inward.

For the first time, he faced a terrifying thought:

“This is how the world might remember me.”

So he made a decision.
Not to fix the headline…
but to fix the direction of his life.

In 1895, Nobel signed a will that devoted most of his fortune to prizes honoring people whose work benefits humanity—across science, literature, and peace.

Today, his name is no longer tied to that cruel description.
It’s tied to contribution.

🌱 TAKEAWAYS
✍️ You can rewrite the story: Your past is a chapter, not a sentence.

🌿 Legacy beats wealth: What you give to the world lasts longer than what you keep.

🔍 Criticism can be a mirror: Sometimes a misunderstanding is the wake-up call that realigns your purpose.

🌟 Mindset Matters at Fatima House of Hope 🌟

"One tree can make one million matchsticks, but one matchstick can burn one million trees." 🎄

Just like that single match, one negative thought has the power to consume a forest of positivity. At FHH, we teach our girls that their minds are their greatest gardens. We believe that protecting your peace and choosing a growth mindset is the first step toward a bright future.

Our home—is a sanctuary where we turn those "matchstick" moments into sparks of inspiration rather than destruction. 🛡️✨

Don’t let one bad thought burn down your dreams. Stay focused, stay positive, and keep growing!

: The World Sees Shadows—We See the Sun. ☀️

At Fatima House of Hope (FHH), we see these truths every single day in the eyes of our girls. True wealth isn't what you carry in your pockets, but what you carry in your soul. ❤️✨

Some people are poor by money but rich by heart

Some people have little education but great wisdom

Some people live in small houses but have big dreams

Some people walk alone but carry powerful visions

Some people are not famous but deeply impactful

Some people have little but give generously

Some people don't dress fancy but wear kindness

Some people cry alone but wipe others' tears 🙏❤️

The Heart of FHH 🏡
The world may look at an orphan and see a story of loss, but within our walls, we see a story of incredible beginnings. These girls carry powerful visions that have the potential to change Mogadishu and the world. 🇸🇴

Though they may live within a modest home today, their spirits occupy the entire sky. They are the doctors, teachers, and leaders of tomorrow, proving every day that you don't need a fortune to change a life—you only need the heart to see someone’s worth.

Our Closing Message to You: 📖 Wealth isn't what is in your bank account; it’s the hope you plant in the soul of a child. Our girls are rich in wisdom, kindness, and courage—all they need is a community that believes in them as much as we do. When you support FHH, you aren't just giving a gift; you are becoming the hand that wipes a tear and the voice that says, "Your big dreams belong here." Join us in turning these visions into reality. Be the impact. Be the hope. 🕊️💪

Building Somalia’s Future

“It is better to die for an idea that will live, than to live for an idea that will die.” — Steve Biko

At Fatima House of Hope, we believe in an idea that will never die: the right of every girl to be educated, protected, and empowered. 🇸🇴✨

In the heart of Mogadishu, our home is more than just a shelter. Behind our grey walls lies a vibrant world where orphan girls are transforming their lives. We aren't just raising children; we are nurturing the future doctors, leaders, and change-makers of Somalia.

Why Legacy Matters

Legacy isn't just what we leave behind—it’s what we build today. By investing in the rights of our girls, we are investing in a stable and prosperous Somalia.

Protection: A safe haven for those who need it most.

Education: Breaking the cycle of poverty through knowledge.

Empowerment: Teaching our girls that their voices matter.

Every girl at FHH is a living testament to resilience. They are the "idea that lives"—a vision of hope that will continue to grow for generations to come.

The Global Crisis:

🛑 Stop Violence Against Women and Girls

Today, November 25th, marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and the start of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.

The statistics are a stark, painful reminder of the urgency of our mission at Fatima House of Hope (FHH):

Globally: Nearly 1 in 3 women worldwide—around 840 million—have been subjected to physical and/or sexual violence in their lifetime.

The Deadly Toll: Every single day, an average of 137 women and girls are killed by an intimate partner or family member worldwide.

In Africa: The highest rate of intimate partner/family member femicide is estimated to be in Africa (3 per 100,000 women and girls).

A Crisis in Somalia: The situation for women and girls in Somalia is acutely challenging. Over 60% of women have faced forms of domestic violence including physical abuse, forced marriage, and sexual harassment. The prevalence of Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) is tragically high, affecting 99.2% of women aged 15-49.

FHH stands for a different future. We believe that every woman and girl deserves to live a life free from fear, violence, and harm.

We are on the ground in Somalia, providing:

Safe Shelter

Psychosocial Support

Empowerment Programs

Advocacy for Justice

This day is not just about acknowledging the violence; it's about committing to the work of ending it.

Join us in the fight!

Educate your network on the signs and severity of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

Support the critical work of FHH to protect and empower survivors in Somalia.

Speak Out against harmful norms and practices that perpetuate this abuse.

🚨 Another Heartbreaking Case Today in Mogadishu 🚨

Fatima House of Hope is deeply saddened to report yet another brutal case of violence against a child in Mogadishu.

Today, Somali Police in Warta Nabadda Station apprehended two individuals accused of severely beating and injuring a 13-year-old girl. The young girl suffered multiple wounds across her face and body—injuries no child should ever endure.

We commend the Somali Police Force for their swift action in rescuing the child and ensuring the suspects are brought before justice.

At Fatima House of Hope, we strongly condemn all forms of violence against children. Every child deserves safety, dignity, love, and protection. We will continue to advocate, support, and stand by vulnerable children and survivors of abuse.

👉 We call upon parents, neighbors, and communities to speak out when they witness harm.
👉 We urge authorities to strengthen child protection laws and ensure strict accountability.
👉 We pledge our continuous support for this brave young girl as she begins her healing journey.

Let us unite to protect our children.
Silence enables abuse. Action saves lives.

🕊️ Justice for Our Daughters | Fatima House of Hope (FHH)

We are deeply heartbroken by the tragic news surrounding the untimely deaths of two young girls whose lives were filled with hope, dreams, and potential.

💔 Sabriin Saylaan Cabdullaahi, a young orphan girl, was reportedly brutally killed inside the home of relatives she was living with.

A medical examination from Gaalkacyo Hospital confirmed that Sabriin had suffered multiple injuries across her body — both old and new — revealing a painful history of abuse no child should ever endure.

💔 In another devastating case, a young girl in Garissa, Kenya, was r***d and murdered by her own uncle — a person who should have been her protector, not her predator.

These heartbreaking incidents remind us of the silent suffering faced by too many girls in our communities.
No child deserves violence.
No child deserves fear.
Every girl deserves safety, dignity, education, and love.

At Fatima House of Hope (FHH), we stand firmly against all forms of gender-based violence.
We call upon community leaders, parents, authorities, and every compassionate heart to protect our daughters and demand justice for those whose voices have been silenced.

📢 FHH calls for:

Stronger protection systems for vulnerable girls

Swift justice for victims of abuse

Community awareness and education

Safe spaces for orphans and girls at risk

Zero tolerance for sexual and domestic violence

Let us honor Sabriin and every girl lost to violence by refusing to remain silent.
Their stories must ignite change.

🕊️ May their souls rest in peace.
🕊️ May justice be served.
🕊️ May our communities rise to protect every child.

Continuing the Promise: 'My Day, My Rights' at Fatima House of Hope (FHH)

Yesterday, November 20, 2025, the world celebrated World Children’s Day—a global declaration of every child’s right to be happy, healthy, and safe. The theme, ‘My Day, My Rights,’ is more than just a wish; it is the blueprint for the future we are building for our girls at FHH.

Here in Mogadishu, the girls of the Fatima House of Hope—the loving home with the grey exterior—represent the children fighting to exercise those rights. They face barriers that prevent them from accessing education, healthcare, and the joy of a safe childhood.

That is precisely where YOU make the difference.

Sponsoring a girl at FHH provides her with the structured education, vital nutrition, essential healthcare, and the safety needed to truly enjoy her childhood and claim her rights.

This week, let your commitment to Child Rights be the reason one of our girls smiles, learns, and thrives.

Take action now! Sponsor a child at FHH and join us in turning the promise of ‘My Day, My Rights’ into a tangible reality for these precious girls who need us most.

Blessed Friday | Juma of Feeding Out of Love ('Alā Ḥubbihī) 🕌

On this blessed day of Juma, as divine rewards are multiplied and mercy descends, we reflect on the ultimate level of devotion: the sacrifice of giving that stems from pure love.

We are guided by the noble verse that describes the Abrar (the Righteous), who gave away what was dearest to them:

The Holy Qur'an, Surah Al-Insan (The Man), Verse 8:

وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا

"And they feed, for the love of Allah, the needy, the orphan, and the captive."

The act of Aṭ-Ṭa'ām (feeding/providing sustenance) is an expression of deep compassion. But it is the phrase 'alā ḥubbihī (for the love of Him) that unlocks the true meaning of mercy. This means: They feed out of pure love for Allah, or they give away what they themselves love and desire (like good food or wealth), thereby prioritizing the needy and the Yateem (Orphan) over themselves.

Here at the Fatima House of Hope (FHH), the home with the grey exterior, our girls represent the Yateem mentioned in this sacred verse. Every provision we secure for them is an act of 'alā ḥubbihī, done with the hope of earning Allah’s pleasure.

O People of Goodness, will you join hands with us to embody this magnificent sacrifice?

Support the girls of FHH today. Let your charity this Blessed Friday be evidence of your love for Allah, a practical application of this profound Ayah.

How You Can Share Hope and Act 'Alā Ḥubbihī Today:

Juma Charity: Make your donation a true act of prioritization and sacrifice this blessed day.

✨ Remember: Giving 'alā ḥubbihī is the greatest form of generosity.
