Over the past two days, our Women for STEM team had the privilege of being part of a special training program in celebration of Girls in ICT Day 2025!

The training was excellently organized by the Hay'adda Isgaarsiinta Qaranka and generously sponsored by SIMAD Innovation Lab— we truly appreciate your unwavering support!

Our team was honored to contribute as part of the training facilitators, delivering a key session titled:
Introduction to Fiber Optic using OptiSystem
This session offered participants a solid introduction to fiber optic technology, including practical experience with OptiSystem software to simulate, design, and analyze modern optical communication systems.

We were inspired by the passion, curiosity, and excitement shown by the young women who joined us. Their engagement is a clear sign that the future of ICT in Somalia is bright — and most importantly, female-led!

We remain committed to supporting and empowering girls in STEM across the country. Together, we can create a future where technology is inclusive, innovative, and transformative for all.

Yesterday, we hosted our highly anticipated event, Mathematics for Future Leaders: Solving Complex Problems Through Numbers, and it was an incredible experience!

We were thrilled to see so many bright minds come together to explore the power of mathematics and data in solving real-world challenges. From engaging workshops to insightful discussions led by our amazing speakers, the day was packed with inspiration and learning.
