On 13 July 2026, we successfully completed a comprehensive eye care medical and surgical outreach camp at Madina Hospital, Mogadishu, providing essential eye care services to underserved communities living in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps.
Through this outreach, patients received comprehensive eye examinations, sight-restoring surgeries, treatment for eye diseases, and vision care services. Every successful intervention represents more than improved eyesight—it restores independence, hope, and dignity.
Our achievements include:
• 👁️ Over 3,000 people screened and treated for various eye conditions.
• 🏥 Over 600 sight-restoring cataract surgeries successfully performed.
• 👓 Over 250 free prescription glasses distributed to improve vision and quality of life.
Restoring vision is restoring dignity.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Qatar Charity Somalia and Qatar Charity (قطر الخيرية) for their generous support and commitment to eliminating avoidable blindness and improving access to quality eye care for Somalia’s most vulnerable communities.
Together, we are bringing the gift of sight and transforming lives.
