LIDOSOM at the Grand Bargain Subgroup on Intermediaries Equitable Partnership Accountability
Today, LIDOSOM (Somali Livelihood Initiative and Disability Organization) was honored to participate in the Grand Bargain Subgroup on Intermediaries meeting, focused on Equitable Partnership Accountability.
The meeting brought together local and national NGOs, donors, UN agencies, and international organizations to discuss how humanitarian partnerships can become more equitable, accountable, and locally led.
The discussions highlighted the importance of:
β
Embedding equitable partnership principles in donor grants and intermediary contracts.
β
Strengthening accountability between donors, UN agencies, INGOs, and local organizations.
β
Amplifying the voices and leadership of local civil society in humanitarian decision-making.
β
Advancing the localization agenda through genuine partnerships built on trust, respect, and shared responsibility.
LIDOSOM is proud to contribute to these important conversations and remains committed to promoting inclusive, locally led humanitarian and development action across Somalia.
We thank the Grand Bargain Subgroup co-leads, partners, and all participants for creating a valuable platform for collaboration and learning.
Together, we can build stronger partnerships that put affected communities and local leadership at the heart of humanitarian action.
