🏅 Recognizing 30 Sustained Dialogue Moderators in Kismayo 🏅

At the conclusion of the Sustained Dialogue Round-Off Event held in Yesterday (16 June 2026) in Kismayo, 30 Sustained Dialogue Moderators (15 women and 15 men) were awarded certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the Sustained Dialogue moderation process.

Over a period of seven months, these committed moderators facilitated 15 dialogue groups, each consisting of 12 participants, guiding them through a total of 210 dialogue sessions—14 sessions per group. Their dedication, leadership, and facilitation skills played a vital role in creating safe spaces for dialogue, strengthening mutual understanding, and promoting peaceful engagement among young people.

This milestone represents more than just the completion of sessions; it reflects the development of a strong network of young peacebuilders equipped with the skills to facilitate dialogue, address community challenges, and contribute to social cohesion and sustainable peace.

We congratulate all 30 moderators on this well-deserved achievement and thank them for their commitment to transforming dialogue into action and strengthening youth participation in peacebuilding efforts.

Gunaanadkii munaasabad lagu soo xirayey wadahadalada joogta ah ee lagu qabtay Kismaayo shalay (16 Juun 2026), waxaa shahaadooyin lagu guddoonsiiyay 30 xiriiriye (15 dumar ah iyo 15 rag ah) kuwaas oo si guul leh u hoggaamiyay una fududeeyay geeddi-socodka Wadahadaladda Joogtada ah.

Muddo toddobo bilood ah, xiriiriyayaasha ayaa hagay 15 kooxood oo wada-hadal ah, kuwaas oo midkiiba ka koobnaa 12 ka-qaybgale. Waxay si guul leh u maamuleen 210 kulan oo wada-hadal ah, iyadoo koox walba ay qabatay 14 kulan.

Guushan weyn waxay ka tarjumaysaa dadaalka, hoggaaminta, iyo xirfadaha dhexdhexaadinta ee ay muujiyeen, kuwaas oo door muhiim ah ka qaatay abuurista jawi ammaan ah oo wada-hadal, isfaham, iyo wada-noolaansho lagu xoojiyo.

🌟 Sustained Dialogue Round-Off Event – Kismayo 🌟

Today, Somali Youth Leaders (SYL), together with Somali Peace Line (SPL) and Life & Peace Institute (LPI), successfully facilitated the Sustained Dialogue Round-Off Event in Kismayo, marking the completion of seven months of dialogue sessions and youth-led action.

Through 15 dialogue groups, each consisting of 12 young participants, a total of 180 young people (90 female and 90 male) participated in the process. These young people transformed dialogue into action by implementing 5 community initiatives drawn from 15 action plans developed during the dialogue sessions.

We are grateful to Somali Peace Line and Life & Peace Institute for entrusting Somali Youth Leaders with facilitating this important process, which empowered young women and men to become active peacebuilders and agents of positive change in their communities.

This initiative was implemented under the UN Peacebuilding Fund (UNPBF)-supported project PBF/IRF-565: Expanding Civic Space and Stimulating Youth-Inclusive Political Processes and Participation in Somalia (Project ID: 00140912). The project aims to strengthen youth participation, expand civic space, promote inclusive political engagement, and foster social cohesion and sustainable peace across Somalia.

Iyadoo loo marayo 15 kooxood oo wada-hadal ah, kuwaas oo midkiiba ka koobnaa 12 ka-qaybgale, wadartooda guud ahayd 180 dhallinyaro ah (90 gabdhood iyo 90 wiilal) oo ka qayb galay geeddi-socodkan. Somali Youth Leaders proudly recognizes the efforts of the Ministry of Ministry of Environment and Climate Change- Jubbaland
in commemorating World Environment Day.

We are honored that Mrs. Anshax Qalanjo, Acting Secretary-General of the Board of Directors, participated in the event and joined the tree-planting campaign. Somali Youth Leaders Leaders waxay bogaadinayaan dadaallada ay hormuudka ka tahay Wasaaradda Deegaanka iyo Isbeddelka Cimilada Jubaland ee xuska Maalinta Deegaanka Adduunka.

Waxaa sharaf noo ah in Ku-simaha Xoghayaha Guddiga Maamulka Anshax Qalanjo ay ka qayb gashay munaasabadda, isla markaana door muuqda ka qaadatay ololaha beerista dhirta. Dhir beeristu waa tallaabo muhiim ah oo lagu ilaalinayo deegaanka, lagu yareynayo saameynta isbeddelka cimilada, laguna dhisayo mustaqbal cagaaran oo waara.

Waxaan ugu baaqeynaa dhammaan dhallinyarada Soomaaliyeed inay kaalin firfircoon ka qaataan ilaalinta deegaanka, nadaafadda, iyo kor u qaadista cagaarinta deegaannadeenna.
