Advancing Ethical Leadership and Good Governance for Youth | Borama

Siraad Initiative conducted a one day workshop in Borama on Advancing Ethical Leadership and Good Governance for Youth under the project.

The workshop brought together youth participants invited from universities, CSOs, and youth activists to engage in meaningful discussions on ethical leadership, accountability, integrity, and the role of young people in promoting good governance.

Through interactive sessions and exchange of experiences, participants reflected on the opportunities and challenges facing youth leadership and explored practical approaches to strengthening youth participation in decision making and public life.

The workshop created a platform for dialogue, learning, and collaboration among young leaders committed to contributing to more accountable and inclusive governance.

Siraad Initiative has recently conducted a one-day training on Advancing Ethical Leadership and Good Governance under the project.

The training aimed to strengthen ethical leadership skills and promote a culture of accountability and good governance among young people. It brought together 30 active participants from various universities, creating a dynamic space for learning, reflection, and dialogue. One of the key sessions focused on leadership and inclusivity, encouraging participants to lead responsibly while ensuring equal participation and respect for all.

The training went well, marked by strong engagement, thoughtful discussions, and a clear commitment from participants to apply what they have learned in their fields.

Siraad Initiative successfully hosted another impactful session of our series, bringing together women and girls for a timely and important conversation.

We were honored to welcome Muna Abdi, a Risk and Safety Specialist with a strong background in law and legal studies, as our guest speaker. She led an insightful session on Women’s Safety in the Digital World, shedding light on the risks women face online and practical ways to stay safe while navigating digital spaces.

Participants gained valuable knowledge on online protection, responsible media use, and strategies to safeguard their presence on the internet. The session also sparked meaningful dialogue, with an engaging Q&A that allowed attendees to share experiences and ask critical questions.
