We’re proud to share that Mohamoud Aidarus successfully participated in the High-Level Horn of Africa Youth Forum (DIRE Forum 2026) held in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia

Representing Somalia and ELPI, he actively contributed to discussions on youth-led peacebuilding and climate action, aligned with ELPI’s mission.

This milestone strengthens youth leadership, regional cooperation, and meaningful youth engagement across the Horn of Africa. We congratulate him and look forward to the impact ahead.

📢 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
We are proud to announce that Mohamoud Aidarus will be representing ELPI at the DIRE FORUM 2026 – High-Level Horn of Africa Youth Forum, taking place from January 30 to February 01, 2026, in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia.

The forum will bring together youth leaders from across the Horn of Africa to engage in high-level dialogue on sustainable peacebuilding and climate action. As ELPI’s delegate, Mohamoud Aidarus will contribute to meaningful discussions, amplify youth-led solutions, and foster collaboration toward a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future.

We are confident that his participation will further strengthen ELPI’s mission and impact at the regional level.

We visited PSU University on 28 December 2025, where we met with students and the university administration. We asked about the special opportunities that peace has provided, particularly for university students, and how peace has positively impacted education and student development.
