Rinow Relief and Development Organization (RRDO) proudly celebrates World Water Day on 22 March 2026.

This day is important for raising community awareness about the role of clean water in life, health, and social development. Many communities still face major challenges in accessing safe water.

RRDO focuses on:

Improving access to clean water

Promoting hygiene and sanitation (WASH)

Raising awareness on water conservation

Supporting sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions

We call on all communities and stakeholders to work together in protecting and managing water resources.

We've ioined more than 70 humanitarian organizations working across Somalia in an urgent appeal to donors

The message is clear: 6.5 million people face severe food insecurity, including 1.85 million children under five at risk of acute malnutrition. Behind these numbers are children too weak tc cry, mothers skipping meals so their children might survive, and families displaced by drought and conflict thev did not create

We have the access, the community trust, and the expertise to deliver lifesaving assistance - nutrition services, clean water, healthcare, and protection. What we lack are sufficient resources Somalia's 2026 Humanitarian Response Plan requires $852 million to reach 4.8 million people in urgent need. It remains critically underfunded

We call on donors to act now. Every delay costs lives.

RRDO conducted a field visit to Tuur Waluun IDP Camp to assess the living conditions of the residents. During the visit, the community reported severe shortages of basic necessities, including clean water, shelter, food, and other essential livelihood support.
RRDO is raising the voices of these vulnerable communities and appealing to donors and humanitarian partners to provide urgent funding to support the affected population and address the various vulnerabilities within the camp.
The drought situation in the IDP camps in Diinsoor is rapidly worsening, and many lives are at serious risk if immediate humanitarian assistance is not provided.

Displaced families who lost their livestock and were forced to flee from Kananax have arrived at the IDP camps in Dinsor District. The majority are women, children, and persons with disabilities who currently lack access to safe water and sufficient food. They are urgently appealing for immediate humanitarian assistance.

RRDO has conducted an emergency water trucking intervention for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Dinsoor who have been severely affected by the ongoing drought. Women, children, and elderly people were facing acute water shortages and required immediate support. RRDO responded using its own limited resources to help address the urgent need and provide safe water to the affected community.
The residents expressed their sincere appreciation to RRDO and its team after receiving the water bowser support.
RRDO urgently appeals to the United Nations, partners, and other well-wishers to provide funding support so we can scale up lifesaving assistance for vulnerable communities affected by drought.

Riinow Relief and Development Organization (RRDO) conducted water trucking interventions across four internally displaced persons (IDP) sites in Diinsoor District. Due to the severe and prolonged drought, vulnerable households and their livestock are facing acute water shortages.
RRDO urgently appeals to well-wishers, the Somali diaspora, international UN agencies, and the Ministry of Water to provide financial support to sustain and scale up water supply services, in order to alleviate suffering and save lives.
