Ongoing GBV & Child Protection Awareness Campaign – RRDO

Every child deserves to grow up in a safe and caring environment, with dignity, access to education, proper care, and the opportunity to build a better future.

Violence, abuse, exploitation, and neglect can affect children in ways that may stay with them throughout their lives. Protecting children, therefore, is not the responsibility of one person or one organization. It requires the commitment and cooperation of families, communities, institutions, and humanitarian partners.

As part of its ongoing work, RRDO is engaging with communities in Dinsor and surrounding areas to raise awareness about child protection, prevent violence and exploitation, and strengthen community-based protection mechanisms.

🛡️ Protection Awareness in Area Villages Dinsor District

Riinow Relief and Development Organization (RRDO) conducted a community protection awareness campaign across villages in Dinsor District, reaching vulnerable households with essential information on safety, dignity, and access to protection services.

The awareness sessions focused on:

✅ Protecting women and girls from violence, exploitation, and abuse.

✅ Promoting the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities.

✅ Supporting internally displaced people (IDPs) to access protection services.

✅ Raising community awareness on child protection, gender equality, and the prevention of discrimination and harmful practices.

As we commemorate World Breastfeeding Week, Riinow Relief and Development Organization (RRDO) is conducting a community-wide awareness campaign to promote the importance of exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of a child's life.
