Today, we celebrate 250 years since the Declaration of Independence boldly proclaimed that “all men are created equal” and are endowed with the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

But 250 years later, we are reminded that freedom is not just declared—it must be continuously defended, expanded, and lived out.

At the Pa Karim Memorial Foundation, we believe freedom is global. From the United States to Sierra Leone, we are still working to ensure dignity, opportunity, and empowerment for all people.

Through education, clean water, energy, and community development, we are committed to building a future where those founding principles are not just words—but reality.

On April 27, 1961, a nation took its first step toward freedom.

Today, we celebrate not only independence, but the strength, resilience, and spirit of our people.

The primary school expansion is now in the final stages.

In just 5 weeks, we will gather with the community to celebrate what was once only a vision—now standing as a physical reality for the children and families we serve.

This expansion is more than additional classrooms. It represents:
• Increased access to education
• A safer environment for students
• A foundation for long-term community growth

What makes this moment especially meaningful is how it came together—through local leadership, global partnership, and a shared commitment to sustainable impact.

We look forward to celebrating this milestone alongside the village and continuing the journey with the Junior Secondary School ribbon cutting and Senior Secondary School groundbreaking.

Today, we celebrate more than a moment—we celebrate the promise of renewal, hope, and new life.

At the Pa Karim Memorial Foundation, this season reminds us that even from the hardest places, something beautiful can rise. Just as the stone was rolled away, we are reminded that barriers can be removed, and new beginnings are always possible.

From classrooms being built in Magbaikoli…
to lives being touched through education, food, and faith…
we are witnessing resurrection in real time.

The first wave of mission trip donations has arrived 🙌🏽

In May, our CEO, Gibril Sorie Mansaray, will be traveling to Sierra Leone carrying a suitcase filled with essential items that will go directly to the families of our team on the ground in Magbaikoli village—the very individuals helping us carry out this work every day.

We want to give a special thank you to Moses’ doctor for stepping up and being among the first to contribute. What may seem like everyday items here can be meaningful support for families who are faithfully serving their community.

This is about taking care of the people who are helping build something bigger than themselves.

Primary School Expansion Update from

We are paving the floors of the new Primary School classrooms.

This expansion is urgently needed. Our Level 5 and Level 6 students have outgrown their current space. These are critical years in a child’s academic journey. Adequate classroom space matters for focus, discipline, and learning.

The work is intense.

Gravel is carried by hand.
Water is transported in jerrycans.
Concrete is mixed on the ground.
Local builders and youth work side by side to get the slab right.

This floor will carry the footsteps of children preparing for the next stage of their education.

We are grateful for the community members building with care and for every supporter who trusts us to steward resources with discipline and integrity.

May the work of our hands be established.
May these classrooms be filled with growth and opportunity.

The work continues. By His grace.

✨ February 27: Genesis Day ✨

Some dates quietly change the course of history.

On February 27, 1975, Prof. Mohamed S. Mansaray left Sierra Leone for the United States in pursuit of education and opportunity, becoming the first person in our village's history travel to the US. A seed was planted that day.

Fifty years later, on February 27, 2025, that seed came full circle as his son, our Founder, Gibril Sorie Mansaray, MBA, returned to Magbaikoli, 🇸🇱 — not simply to visit, but to build.

Under the disciplined leadership of our Programs and Projects Manager, Justice Kamara, the Genesis 1:3 Project installed 20 solar-powered streetlights throughout the village — the first public lighting in Magbaikoli’s history.

“Let there be light.”

That moment was more than infrastructure.
It was ignition.

Since Genesis Day, we have accelerated:

• Construction of the Junior Secondary School
• Expansion planning for additional educational facilities
• Community health and faith-inclusive initiatives
• Stronger diaspora and government alignment
• A scalable rural development strategy

We also recognize the catalytic leadership of Jakob Carnemark and his team at Endeavor for inspiring and activating this moment of transformation.

Going forward, February 27 will be observed annually as Genesis Day — a reminder that legacy is built through faith, discipline, and unity.

One year later, the lights remain on.

And so does the mission.
