We are excited to share that eWomen Sierra Leone is building a beautiful new playground for the Makeni City Library.

This initiative is designed to create a fun, welcoming space that draws schoolchildren to the library — making learning not just important, but enjoyable too.

The project is proudly led by our Chief Innovation Officer, Kisimi Kayleemasa Kamara, whose passion for youth empowerment continues to inspire us.

Boosting Productivity with AI at eWomen Sierra Leone

Before integrating AI, task management at eWomen relied heavily on emails, assigning duties, following up, and tracking completion was slow and sometimes inefficient.

Now, with Notion, we easily assign tasks, monitor progress in real-time, and know exactly when each one is completed.

Instead of spending weeks writing code, we now use v0.app to rapidly build websites, saving time and enhancing our productivity.

And with tools like ChatGPT and Canva, we brainstorm faster, generate fresh ideas, and create visually engaging content with ease.

AI isn't just a tool at eWomen; it’s a game-changer. Thank you, International Trade Centre, for providing us with the training and insights.

🌿 eWomen SL Presents: AI@eWomen – Innovation in Action! 🌿

As part of our ongoing AI@eWomen Campaign and 30-Day Roadmap, the innovators at eWomen are taking bold steps to showcase how artificial intelligence can empower creativity and business growth.

Meet iDesigns, one of the inspiring startups nurtured by eWomen. iDesigns transforms plastic waste into fashionable and eco-friendly products under its trendy collection - “SaLone Must Grow.” Led by Emmanuel Tholley, a resilient innovator living with epilepsy, iDesigns turns challenges into purpose by tackling Sierra Leone’s plastic waste crisis through sustainable design.

Emmanuel recently launched the “One School Bag, One Tree” Campaign - a movement that invites individuals and organizations to buy school bags made from recycled plastic and donate them to pupils, with the simple but powerful pledge: “For every bag received, plant and care for one tree.” 🌱

To expand his impact, eWomen selected iDesigns as a pilot case to build an AI-powered Shopify e-commerce site, showcasing how technology and sustainability can drive meaningful change. Despite using Shopify for the first time, the team is doing exceptionally well - and soon, their beautiful creations will be available at https://idesignssl.com.

This milestone was made possible thanks to the AI Training for Hubs by ITC, which ignited their passion for applying AI in business. Now, eWomen SL is excited to introduce a new monetized service - WIFE (WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook for Entrepreneurs) - designed to help businesses harness social media power through AI-driven strategies, offered both in-house and virtually.
