*The Campaign Against Poverty (CAP)* is a registered charity and non-governmental organisation in Sierra Leone, founded in 2024/2025. It is primarily active in Sierra Leone and its surrounding areas. Below is an outline of our vision and mission:
Vision:
CAP envisions a country where extreme poverty has to be eradicated, and everyone has access to basic necessities such as food, clean water, healthcare, and education. Our long-term dream is for individuals in Sierra Leone to enjoy the same financial security and social amenities as those in the Western world.
Mission:
We advocate for those who can not speak for themselves, representing the most vulnerable members of our society.
CAP focuses on poverty alleviation through education, training, healthcare, and support services, enabling self-sufficiency and sustainable income generation.
Core Activities:
- Delivering direct assistance in Sierra Leone and surrounding areas, including aid for orphans, people with disabilities, and survivors of child abuse/domestic violence.
- Providing educational materials to schools.
- Promoting human rights and offering general relief for vulnerable groups.
Medium-Term Goals:
We aim to establish small-scale businesses and apprenticeship programs (e.g., poultry farms and artisan workshops) to create employment opportunities for youth in Sierra Leone and its environs.
