PROMOTING EDUCATION IN NJAMA

Education being a top priority, the NDDU Union successfully conducted summer classes for Primary and Junior Secondary school pupils in Baiama Town. Pupils from all five schools in the locality participated enthusiastically. The total attendance was 206 students

The program was completely free, with teaching and learning materials distributed at no cost to the students and teachers. The classes concluded with a text assessment, and the best-performing students were awarded prizes and certificates—also at no cost.

During the grand closing ceremony, held in the presence of traditional leaders, parents, teachers, students, and NDDU members. The Manager Mr Tamba Senge Senessie of MOTA PRODUCE STORE in Baiama generously awarded a one-year scholarship to the two best-performing students in Mathematics and Language Arts:

1. Susan K. Kamanda – Class 5
Scored 90% in Mathematics

2. Dorise James – Class 5
Scored 86% in Language Arts

All funds for running the classes and providing prizes were raised by Union members, reflecting their commitment to boosting education in the locality.
