International Women's Day 2026
Today, Foundation for Youth Empowerment and Advocacy (FYEA) joins the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs and other partners to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026 under the theme: “Rights, Justice and Action for All Women and Girls.”
In Kambia District, this year’s celebration is being observed in a decentralized way, with activities taking place across 5 selected chiefdoms to highlight the resilience, contributions, and leadership of women in society.
FYEA is actively participating in Mambolo Chiefdom, Magbema Chiefdom, and Munu Thalla Chiefdom, where we continue to spotlight the strength of women and girls, especially in relation to climate change, climate justice, and the actions needed to build a fairer and more resilient future.
Stay tuned for more updates as our team continues its engagements across the chiefdoms, sharing stories, moments, and impact from the ground.

Happy International Women's Day to our best female staff and Interns.

Foundation for Youth Empowerment and Advocacy (FYEA) participated in a two-day capacity building training organized by Restless Development Sierra Leone under the AU–EU Youth Action Lab Project in the North-West Region.
The training brought together youth CSOs, youth groups, and young activists. It focused on youth-led research, leadership, accountability, hackathon and ideation, collaboration for effective service delivery, and key issues affecting young people in our communities. Two FYEA representatives took part and gained practical insights to further strengthen our youth-led interventions.
We appreciate the opportunity and look forward to applying the lessons learned to create greater impact across the region.
