Happy International Women’s Day Message – March 8, 2026

On this International Women’s Day, Initiatives Hub celebrates the strength, resilience, and achievements of women and girls in our communities and around the world.

Under the theme “Rights. Justice. Action: For All Women and Girls,” we reaffirm our commitment to promoting gender equality, social inclusion, and opportunities that empower women to thrive in every aspect of society. Women play a vital role in sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, education, and community development.

As a youth-led organization working in rural communities, FOROD Initiatives Hub continues to advocate for the rights, dignity, and full participation of women and girls in building resilient and inclusive societies.

Together, let us champion rights, pursue justice, and take meaningful action for all women and girls.

We sincerely appreciate Restless Development Sierra Leone and the -EU Youth Action Lab Project for creating this important platform for learning, networking, and collaboration. We look forward to applying the lessons learned to deepen our impact and strengthen youth-driven development efforts across Kambia District and the wider North-West Region.

FOROD Initiatives Hub proudly was among the CSOs that participated in a two-day capacity building training organized by Restless Development Sierra Leone under the AU-EU Youth Action Lab Project in the North-West Region, Port Loko.

The training convened youth-led CSOs, youth groups, and young activists from across the region. It focused on strengthening youth engagement through sessions on youth-led research, leadership development, accountability, hackathon and ideation processes, collaboration for effective service delivery, and addressing key challenges affecting young people in our communities.

Good afternoon, team!
I want to sincerely thank everyone who showed up and made today’s hiking a remarkable success. Your presence, energy, and commitment turned what could have been a simple walk into a powerful and therapeutic experience.
As part of our Annual General Gathering of Youth-Serving Organizations (AGGYSO), this hike was more than just exercise, it was healing, unifying, eco-friendly, and truly life-changing for many of us. It reminded us of our collective strength and the bond we share as youth leaders.
As we rest and recover, let’s gear up for tomorrow’s *main event*:
