Kambia District Development and Rehabilitation Organization (KADDRO), is a registered National Non- Governmental Organization in Sierra Leone.

MISSION

Our mission is to promote sustainable human capital development of poor and vulnerable women, children and youths through education and household security (social, economic and environmental) for a productive society. KADDRO is a key local and national player and it has contributed significantly to the empowerment of vulnerable women, children and youths through quality service delivery i

n the areas of Agriculture and Food Security, WASH and Emergency Relief and Response. KADDRO was established in 1999, by descendants of the Kambia District in an effort to provide humanitarian support to displaced Sierra Leoneans in the peak of the Brutal Civil War. Since its establishment, KADDRO has been improving the lives of rural residents’ through networking, partnership, coordination and collaboration to maximize mobilization resources in addressing felt needs of Sierra Leoneans. As a community initiative it engages both skilled and unskilled women and youths within the district to be self-reliant.

*KADDRO REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT AT THE NATIONAL WOMEN'S WATERMARK CONFERENCE*

The Kambia District Development and Rehabilitation Organization (KADDRO) is pleased to inform the public that its Executive Director, Mohamed Sallieu Bangura, served as a guest speaker at the 2nd National Women's Watermark Conference and 5th Anniversary Celebration organized by TIMAP for Women's Empowerment.

The event, held under the theme: *Mentorship Matters: Lifting as We Climb*, understanding the critical role of mentorship in advancing women's leadership and empowerment.

In his remarks, the Executive Director, emphasized KADDRO's continued support to women's empowerment intimates, noting that the organization has proudly supported TIMAP for Women's Empowerment through grant funding on two occasions. These interventions form part of a broader vision to ensure that women and girls are empowered with knowledge, voice, and opportunities to shape their own futures.

He further highlighted that KADDRO firmly believes in investing in women through strategic and necessary development initiatives, adding that evidence consistently show that when women are empowered economically and socially, communities become more resilient, families thrive and nations experience inclusive growth .

KADDRO reaffirms its commitment to supporting initiatives that advance women's empowerment, strength mentorship structures, and promote inclusive leadership. The organization remains proud to stand along TIMAP for Women's Empowerment in building a more just, equitable, and inclusive society.

KADDRO at Northwest Region NGO Week 2026

Kambia District Development and Rehabilitation Organization (KADDRO-SL) proudly participated in the 2026 Northwest Region NGO Week Celebrations, held under the theme “Collaboration, Sustainability & Local Empowerment.”

The celebration commenced with a football match between NGOs and MDAs, followed by a vibrant Health Walk, and concluded with a Conference at the Port Loko District Council, bringing together partners and MDAs from Kambia, Port Loko, and Karene Districts to strengthen coordination and advance sustainable community development.

Together, we continue to champion collaboration and lasting local impact.
