Today, as the world marks International Women’s Day, we pause to celebrate the strength, brilliance, and resilience of women everywhere.
At Global Youth Network for Empowerment & Development - Sierra Leone, we proudly honor the incredible women who inspire, lead, nurture, and shape our world every single day. Their courage, compassion, and dedication continue to transform, move society forward and light the path for generations to come.
Today, we pay special tribute to the esteemed and dedicated ladies of team, women of vision, virtue, and value whose passion for service turns challenges into change and dreams into development. You are the heartbeat of progress, the voice of hope, and the hands building a better tomorrow.
We also celebrate the creativity, courage, and transformation of our female beneficiaries who proudly designed the beautiful outfits on the photo by their own hands.
These remarkable young women, once victims of the kush drug addiction from Kroobay, Kingtom, and Black Street, have risen with strength and determination.
Through just three months of pilot vocational skills training at the in Action Skills Training Center, supported by Grand Challenges Canada / Grands Défis Canada, they are now writing a new story of hope, dignity, and empowerment.
From pain to purpose, from struggle to strength, from despair to design, these women are success stories and living proof that when women are empowered, communities are transformed.
Today we celebrate women who rise with resilience, shine with brilliance, lead with confidence, and serve with excellence. Women who dream boldly, act bravely, love deeply, and build tirelessly.
To every woman at and beyond: You are power in motion, wisdom in action, grace in leadership, and beauty in transformation.
Happy International Women’s Day!
When women rise, the world rises with them.
