Empowering the Future with Austria 🇦🇹
​We were thrilled to host a delegation from the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria and the Ambassador at Don Bosco Fambul.

​Beyond a wonderful visit, the Austrian government has generously donated €10,000 to our Hope Plus Project. This support means more vulnerable girls will have access to life-changing skills and vocational training.

​To top off an incredible day, our team and Project Coordinator were invited to the official opening of the new Austrian Embassy in Sierra Leone! 🥂

On behalf of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Bo, Sierra Leone, and the entire community, we wish to express our profound and heartfelt gratitude for your generous support and commitment to the future of our youth.

Your funding has been instrumental in making a vital project a reality: the construction of a much-needed Sports Complex, featuring dedicated Basketball and Volleyball courts.

In a community where opportunities for structured, healthy, and engaging activities are scarce, this complex represents far more than just sporting facilities. It is a powerful investment in the dignity, health, and holistic development of hundreds of young people. These courts will serve as safe havens, promoting teamwork, discipline, physical well-being, and social cohesion among the youth of Bo. This infrastructure will empower them, giving them constructive alternatives to idleness and promoting positive community engagement for years to come.

The Republic of Austria, through the Federal Ministry of Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport, has demonstrated a truly global spirit of solidarity and a deep understanding of the transformative power of sport and culture in community building.
