My heart is heavy with gratitude and full of purpose . This season of both Ramadan and Lent reminded me once again why we do this.

From giving to mosques, to sharing meals ,to reaching out to the blind and disabled and then gathering together in the evening for The Table of Faith. It wasn’t just about giving, it was about love in action, it was about people from different walks of faith sitting together, eating together, and simply being human together.

Last year, it was Lunsar.
This year, Freetown.
Next year we go even bigger, by God’s grace 🙏🏽

I don’t take any of this for granted. The smiles, the prayers, the quiet moments of connection, they mean everything.

Thank you to everyone who supported, contributed, and believed in this vision.

May we always find a reason to give.
May we always find a way to show love.

💕 Picnic and Healing Gathering💕

The Bloom Again Picnic and Healing Gathering was successfully held on 30th August 2025, bringing together over 100 participants from across Sierra Leone who traveled far and wide to be part of this transformative experience.

The day opened with guest registration, intentional reflections, and prayers, setting a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The program was inspiring and impactful, featuring:
• Yoga and breathing exercises to refresh minds and bodies
• Survivor-led sharing sessions, creating safe spaces for openness and healing
• FGM/postpartum awareness talks, spoken word, and musical performances that gave voice to resilience and hope
• Affirmations sessions that encouraged personal growth and self-discovery
• Stakeholder statements from representatives of self-esteem/confidence mental health, and social justice initiatives etc
• A symbolic balloon letting-go ceremony, representing release and renewal
• Care package distribution as a gesture of love and solidarity …

The gathering closed with group photos, a heartfelt vote of thanks, and refreshments, allowing participants to connect and reflect on the shared journey of healing.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsors , facilitators, survivors, speakers, stakeholders, and every participant who contributed to making this gathering meaningful.

Women can win despite every wound.
Women can win by rising from pain into purpose.
Women can win by healing
Women can win because women can bloom again.

So, this WCW is dedicated to every strong, resilient, and unstoppable woman who continues to rise no matter the challenges.

As we gather in solidarity, resilience, and hope, join us for the Bloom Again Picnic & Healing Gathering happening this Saturday, 30th August at Gigibonta Beach Bar.

It will be a safe, heart-centered space for healing, connection, and renewal.
