The Sierra Leone Scouts Association has been honored as one of the National Scout Organizations (NSOs) providing invaluable support to Scouting in West Africa. The award was presented in Liberia, host of the ongoing West African Zonal Conference.

Our Chief Commissioner proudly received the award on behalf of our NSO.
This achievement is a reminder to us all: My NSO, My Responsibility.

*Sierra Leone Takes Strategic Role at the 16th West Africa Scouts Zonal Conference in Monrovia Liberia.*

In a significant development at the ongoing conference, *Thomas Maada Gbongon - Deputy Training Commissioner South* Delegation has been appointed as a member of the Conference Rapporteur team.

In this important capacity, he is tasked with documenting and reporting on the proceedings of the conference—capturing key discussions, decisions, and outcomes that will shape the direction of the Scout Movement within the West African Zone/region.

This appointment is a clear recognition of his competence, professionalism, and the confidence placed in the Sierra Leonean Delegation to contribute meaningfully beyond participation. It also reflects Sierra Leone’s growing influence and active involvement in regional Scouting engagements.

We congratulate him on this well-deserved responsibility and wish him success as he contributes to this vital assignment.
