A Day of Transformation, Faith, and Purpose
Young Life Sierra Leone has successfully
concluded a powerful and impactful one-day camp, filled with joy, fellowship, learning, and spiritual transformation.
Throughout the camp, the participants experienced meaningful sessions, team-building activities, and moments of encouragement through the support of our dedicated Team Moms. Most importantly, we witnessed young lives being touched and transformed as participants were given the opportunity to surrender their lives to Christ and begin a deeper journey of faith.
It was truly an amazing and memorable experience a day filled with hope, purpose, and the love of Christ. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to making this camp a success and for the lives that were impacted.
One day. One camp. Many lives touched. One purpose: to lead young people closer to Christ.

For three unforgettable days in Makeni, Young Life Sierra Leone gathered as one family to seek God, learn together, and be strengthened for the mission ahead.

Every session challenged us.
Every message stretched us.
Every conversation inspired us.
Every moment reminded us why we serve.

New insights were shared, fresh vision was received, and hearts were renewed. We leave this retreat not just with notebooks full of notes, but with lives transformed, deeper relationships, and a greater passion to reach every young person with the love of Christ.

This was more than a retreat it was a time of renewal, unity, growth, and commissioning.

The journey continues, and we return to our communities ready to live out what we have learned.

Young Life Retreat Freetown – East One

Although we were unable to organize our usual three-day retreat this year, the East One team successfully conducted a one-day self-sponsored program that brought children together in an atmosphere of joy, learning, and fellowship. The event created an opportunity for the children to connect, interact, and participate in exciting activities that strengthened friendships and built lasting memories. Their smiles, enthusiasm, and active participation showed how much they appreciated the program. It was a wonderful reminder that even a single day spent together can have a meaningful impact on young lives.

The East Two team also organized a successful one-day self-sponsored program that united children from different backgrounds for a day of fun, encouragement, and personal growth. Despite the absence of the traditional three-day retreat, the children expressed great excitement and happiness throughout the event. Through games, group activities, and shared experiences, they enjoyed quality time together and felt a strong sense of belonging. The positive energy and joyful atmosphere demonstrated how valuable the program was to the children and highlighted the importance of continuing such activities in the future.

Young Lives Bo recently organized a self-sponsored camp focused on empowering young people through practical skill training and personal development. That belief is what inspired our self sponsored one day camp a day filled with joy, purpose, and unforgettable moments. It wasn’t just an event; it was an experience carefully created to nurture young hearts and minds.

We made it fun so every child could laugh freely.
We made it educative so they could learn and grow.
We made it interactive so every voice could be heard.
And we made it creative so their gifts could shine.

But beyond all this, something truly special happened
They felt seen.
They felt valued.
They felt loved.

And in that atmosphere of love and belonging, lives were touched, and hearts were opened.

Because when a child knows they matter, everything changes.
