The 1st Annual National Swehra Awards Trailblazer Magazine which was launched during the awards ceremony will be available for publication on the 10th August 2026. All profiling of awardees were featured it will be going for sale per copy . It’s an amazing publication document worth keeping, reading and sharing to others to read the stories, impact, contributions, goodwill and journey of others.

We crave in the indulgence of all goodwill Sierra Leoneans and institutions to purchase our copies which is going out for just Nle200 or by donation.

Note: We featured outstanding institutions and other impactful individuals who were not recipients but has been key contributors to community development, SGBV, women and girls empowerment and nation building cut across all walks of life including government, Academic, law , media, military, cooperatives, NGOs and private sector organizations.

Also note that we don’t feature institutions or personalities on the basis of sponsorship, one is mainly featured by merit and we’ve zero space for advert purposes.

Madam Fatmata Fathima Kamara is an entrepreneur, educator, researcher, and social impact leader with a passion for empowering individuals and transforming communities through entrepreneurship, innovation, and skills development. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Thimzy Empowerment Initiative, an organization committed to inspiring and equipping women and girls with the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities needed to thrive as entrepreneurs and leaders.

With a strong belief that entrepreneurship is a catalyst for sustainable national development, Fatmata has dedicated her career to mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs, designing capacity-building programs, and creating platforms that foster innovation, collaboration, and economic inclusion. Her work bridges academia and practice, combining research, training, and community engagement to address real-world challenges.

As the host of “Talk to the Entrepreneur with Me Thimzy,” she shares practical insights drawn from experience, encouraging young people to embrace resilience, creativity, and ethical leadership in building successful enterprises. She also leads the Women in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Festival, an annual initiative that celebrates and promotes the achievements of women entrepreneurs while inspiring the next generation of innovators.

Fatmata’s expertise spans entrepreneurship education, strategic management, business development, leadership, event management, and community empowerment. She has developed training programs in entrepreneurship, catering, cake making, and other income-generating skills, helping individuals develop practical competencies for self-reliance and economic growth.

Driven by a vision of an inclusive and prosperous society, Fatmata continues to champion initiatives that unlock human potential, promote gender equality, and contribute to the sustainable development of Sierra Leone and beyond. Dr. Adonis is one of Sierra Leone’s most famous and longest serving diplomat, philanthropists and humanitarians, he’s also the CEO DSTV Sierra Leone, Founder Pikin Bizness Foundation, CEO Adonis Abboud Trust Fund and Chairman Miss Sierra Leone Ltd. Through his exemplary leadership and outstanding impact thousands have benefited from his philanthropic work humanitarian assistance in Sierra Leone and beyond. He’s a visionary and passionate driven leader, mentor and father figure to many across the world .

Ambassador Abboud has donated humanitarian support to thousands of children in the Sierra Leone community, provided scholarships to university students cut across through his Trust Fund.

Madam Barrie is a also an advocate for women and girls empowerment, right and safety, over the years she has been pivotal on the fight against r**e and other GBV related cases, through her organization she has collaborated and partner with notable organizations to support aged people, people with disability and the most vulnerable homes.

As a resilient power blazer and change maker she has led successful initiatives thst advances, gender equality, women empowerment , leadership and Justice, Doren has bag several deserving awardees in the last decade.

Spotlight on !! Lady Sinava B. Lamin

We’re honored to recognize Lady Sinava B. Lamin as one of the recipients of this year’s 5th Annual National Swehra Awards 2026 under the 2nd category “Sierra Leone Women’s Excellence Awards) and also featured her as a woman trailblazer on our 1st SWEHRA Awards Magazine which will be launched on the during the 5th awards ceremony live at the prestigious Bintumani Hotel Aberdeen Freetown scheduled for the 26th July 2026.

Lady Sinava is an entrepreneur, physicist, farmer, champion for women and girls empowerment, development enthusiast, business consultant, environmental advocate and humanitarian. She’s the founder of Sinava Africa Agricultural Food (SAAF) Project Ltd. a firm established for modern agricultural farming, produce and crop cultivation.

Over the years she has helped 100s of vulnerable local farmers especially at rural communities with crop seeds and other farm equipment to strengthening their farming capabilities and improve their agricultural farming growth and agricultural production . As an extensive farmer dealing in rice, vegetables and livestock production she has contributed immensely to the country’s food security and human capital development.

In her capacity as an influential young female figure she has participated in active policy discussions and impact changing programs especially on issues dealing with health, nutrition, reproductive rights and safety and climate environment in Sierra Leone working with outstanding organizations like Partners in Health , beyond her country she has worked at Central Africa, Burkinafasso, Togo 🇹🇬 among others. Back home upon her service from Lome she currently serve as the Country Director for Gryphon Global SL Ltd. a private sector company legally operates in import agricultural products, mining machinery, and also deals in logistics, procurement and supplies.

Congratulations Madam Lamin on your achievements and we hope this recognition serves as more motivation in continuing the commendable work.
