As we continue to observe and experience firsthand Sierra Leone women leading change, championing decision making, influencing positively their fellow women and contributing meaningfully both national and global platforms today we want to share the spotlight of the enviable Board Chairperson- YCEF Africa 🇸🇱 🇺🇬 Mrs. Nenehbah Jalloh - The leading figure of the Country’s Scaling Up Nutrition Directorates/Coordination strategic team at the Office of the Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone 🇸🇱.
Mrs. Jalloh who worked as distinguished academic scholar and researcher of the Colombia University in the United States 🇺🇸 and former diplomat of the United Nations 🇺🇳 with decade of wealth of experience serving the UN body in New York as an expert in Food and nutrition, till her retirement back home to serve her country and People as the only strategic expert in Sierra Leone’s food system pillar and Nutrition growth builder under the OVP .
Madam Nenehbah has led as board advisory member in multiple renowned institutions cut across the private sector, CSO Organizations and youth and women based led institutions in Sierra Leone. Currently serving as Board member of the International Sisterhood Alliance, Board Member Focus 1000, strategic lead advisor of Gryphon Global Company and many others. As the recent President of the Commonwealth Business Women Network leading top business female executives in the diaspora and Sierra Leone she joined the First Lady of Sierra Leone who doubled as the President of OAFLAD and other powerful influential trailblazers and outstanding leaders including the Hon. Minister of Gebder & Children’s Affairs representing Sierra Leone at the 70CSW Conference at the UN 🇺🇳 headquarters in New York USA 🇺🇸.
Madam Nenehbah remain unapologetically phenomenal change maker, National powerful force for women who has immensely contributed tremendously to Sierra Leone’s human capital development and exceptionally driving positive change on women and girls empowerment whiles delivering both at public service and the humanitarian sector as a seasoned key player.
She holds a multi accolades of achievement in in higher academics institutions, excellence in leadership, humanitarian growth and women development champion awards to her name at national and international levels.
As an organization championing women and child’s rights and empowerment in Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 and Uganda 🇺🇬, we celebrate her not only as a mother, a wife, a public servant, entrepreneur, philanthropist and influencer for change but also for her relentless pursuit for national food and health security, peace building and impactful sustainable empowerment to thousands of women and young people across Sierra Leone.
We’re pleased and honored to be continuesly inspired by her resilience, strength in service for others and legacy by building a school in Kabala for people with disabilities which has been in existence for over three (3) decades as the Co-Founder and proprietress .
Finally it will amaze you to know that this phenomenal woman speaks over six (6) local national languages and three (3) international languages which sum up to nine (9). That’s imtresting right 😊.
