In 2020, cancer was responsible for nearly 10 million deaths globally, which accounted for almost one in six deaths.
The most prevalent types of cancer include breast, lung, colon and re**um, and prostate cancer.
In Sierra Leone, where treatment options are limited, public awareness about the disease is low, and 59.2 percent of the population is considered multidimensionally poor, where do we stand in the battle against breast cancer?
With breast cancer being a leading cause of cancer death in women, the primary organization leading the fight against breast cancer is the Thinking Pink Breast Cancer Foundation, and the CEO Cremelda Parkinson-Pratt discusses the realities of this ongoing battle with us.
