NORTHERN REGION UPDATE – DISSOLUTION OF KOINADUGU DISTRICT EXECUTIVES

The Northern Region Executives of the Sierra Leone Commercial Motorbike Riders Union have officially dissolved the Koinadugu District Executives today at the Union Office in Kabala Town.
In a statement delivered by the Deputy Secretary General (Northern Region), it was announced that the administration of the District has been temporarily handed over to a transitional team to oversee the affairs of the Union pending the upcoming elections.

The interim leadership includes:

Bike Monitoring Officer Commander, Mr. Osman Barrie (alias Barrie White)
Former District Chairlady
Former District Organising Secretary, Mr. Momodu Bah

This team has been mandated to manage the Union’s activities and ensure a smooth and credible transition process.

Additionally, the Former District Secretary General, Mr. Sylvanus Sallamin Totagay, officially handed over the gazette of eligible parks to the Northern Region Executives. According to the record, a total of 13 parks have been verified, amounting to 130 delegates eligible to participate in the forthcoming district elections.

The Northern Region Executives also took the opportunity to express their appreciation to the outgoing District Executives for their service and contributions to the Union.

This development marks a critical step toward ensuring a transparent, orderly, and democratic electoral process in Koinadugu District.

The Chairman-Elect of the Kenema District Bike Riders Union, Mr. Mohamed Kelleh Mansaray, has extended his heartfelt appreciation to all delegates and riders who supported his successful election.

In his message, he stated:

“On behalf of Team Kelleh, I sincerely extend my deepest thanks and appreciation to all delegates and riders who stood by me and cast their votes in my favor. Your support has made it possible for me to emerge as the District Chairman of the Bike Riders Union (BRU) in Kenema.

I will forever remain grateful to you all. You have proven to be the best, standing firm with me throughout this journey, despite all challenges, intimidation, and external influences.

Your unity, courage, and belief in this vision brought us this victory. We did not just win as individuals—we won together as one team.

The Kailahun District Motorbike Riders Union Elections, held today in Kailahun, have officially concluded.

Mr. Saidu Dabor has been announced as the newly elected Kailahun District Chairman-Elect by the Regional Chairman of the Eastern Region.

This marks a significant moment for the Union in Kailahun District as members came out to participate in the democratic process.
