142 lives touched in just one day this is what impact looks like.

Last Saturday, March 28th, 2026, we carried out a meaningful Medical Outreach in Kroobay, bringing hope and essential healthcare directly to the community.

A total of 142 people including children and parents received free medical attention, consultations, and basic treatment. For many, this was their first access to healthcare in a long time.

This outreach is a reminder that health is a right, not a privilege. When we come together with a shared purpose, we can bridge gaps and touch lives in ways that truly matter.

We are deeply grateful to our dedicated team, volunteers, and partners who made this possible. Your commitment continues to inspire change and bring smiles to those who need it most.

This is just the beginning. Together, we will keep reaching further, doing more, and impacting lives.

📍 Yemoh Town, Bo City
🗓️ May 24, 2025

104 children and 15 parents received free medical care — thanks to the trust of the communities and the strength of the local families who showed up.

Our outreach took place at the Gender Community Health Center, just outside Gondama Timbo, a village without any healthcare facilities. Community members from Gondama made the journey to Yemoh Town, where they were welcomed with open arms.

We saw children raised by teenage parents, families struggling with food insecurity, and patients who had gone without care for far too long.

And yet — their smiles said everything. Gratitude, relief, and hope.

This outreach reminded us why we can’t stay in Freetown—the capital. We are committed to reaching every child, wherever they are.

Bringing Hope to Bo – One Child at a Time

What a touching and impactful day it was in Bo! Thanks to the dedication of the MD Charitable Team, 104 children from underserved communities received free healthcare services for many, it was their very first time receiving proper medical attention.

Parents expressed heartfelt gratitude, and emotions ran high especially when a blind mother arrived with her 2-week-old baby for treatment. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do: to give hope, to heal, and to serve.

A sincere thank you to all our partners, volunteers, friends, and supporters for making this possible. Your compassion is truly changing lives.

Together, we’re proving that love in action can heal communities.

📍 To the Mothers of Sierra Leone
They carry their children close — wrapped in lappas, moving with strength and purpose through every part of daily life.

Some are still teenagers. Some are raising many children on their own.
All of them are doing their best in a system that too often leaves them behind.

We’ve crossed paths with so many of these incredible women — radiant in color, calm in chaos, and always holding onto hope.

And the babies they carry? Unforgettable. Bright-eyed, joyful, and full of possibility.

📍 Mabela, Freetown
Behind every outreach are people — and this is the team that made it happen.

From treating children with malaria and skin infections to supporting teenage parents and connecting with HIV-positive mothers, our time in Mabela taught us a lot — and reminded us why long-term commitment matters.

What we saw:
• A high burden of preventable diseases
• Struggles faced by teenage parents
• Persistent stigma around HIV
• Poor sanitation and nutrition
• A need for more health education

There’s no shortcut to change. But there’s a team here — learning, adapting, and returning.
