On this Independence Day, St. George Foundation reflects on the heartbeat of our nation, its children. While the flags fly high and the drums echo through our streets, we remember that true freedom is only achieved when our most vulnerable sons and daughters are no longer surviving on those very same streets. 🇸🇱✨

A Poem for the Children of the Soil 📝🧡

Independence is a bridge 🌉 we build across the night,

To lead a child from cold concrete back into the light. 🕯️

It is not found in parades, or in a distant sky,
