NO PAIN NO GAIN
I have seen kings with broken crowns.
I have witnessed fights on a peaceful ground
I have lived in hell but am back
Therefore, drifting on the verge of the sea,
doesn't mean I can't swim.
Infact,
I have lived life ten (10) times harder than the life in me,
Probably the life in we
But………………
Sigh…..
Yes, I've been there.
Don't be surprised to see me in different scenes.
It pains me to the fact that claiming kings are now claiming kings but I know
kings in a society without royalty?
Damn…
This is a clear definition of probability en funnily,
We democracy nor democratic enough for mek dem catch we
So, why ihn for pain me sef?
After all,
Pain is an immortal mortality
Like the anvil of struggles,
I shape my sword of might,
Fire and fury forge the blade so bright.
Echoes of effort, hammer and chain,
Wins a fight fought under different rains.
Sometimes, the wind whispers wisdom to my soul,
Mountains tell secrets only climbers know.
The sweat from me, is the ink that scripts my heart
Pain, the cruel maestro, conducts what my heart flows
The seed must shatter to kiss the sun,
I was loaded, corked and shoot out like a gun
Darkness must reign where dawn has won.
My tears turn rivers so I drowned,
Yet from the abyss, I found my crown
And I learned that; battles cannot be won without scars because dreams ignite without stars.
So bleed, yet build;
Fall, yet fly—
For only through pain does the soul touch the sky.
Repeat this often,
“NO PAIN NO GAIN”
