MEETING WITH THE SIERRA LEONE 🇸🇱 MINISTRY OF LANDS
Following the ongoing issues affecting our communities, including reports of certain military personnel and individuals claiming to represent the Ministry (including Sargin Sheriff, Patto, and Abdourahman) allegedly selling lands, harassing our people, and stating they were sent by the Ministry, I decided to formally report the matter directly to the Ministry of Lands.
Fortunately, I had the opportunity to meet with the Director of Lands, His Excellency Tamba Dauda, who has studied in China for several years, he knew all the good works Mr Yang and i have dome for Sierra Leone and He speaks fluent Chinese. We had a brief conversation in Chinese, which brought a warm and friendly atmosphere to the meeting.
During our discussion, I strongly advocated for my community. He assured me that anyone found harming or intimidating my village in the name of the Ministry would be dealt with accordingly.
I also met with the Deputy Minister of Lands, Hon. Phylis, whom I have had the privilege of meeting both in Sierra Leone and in the United States on several occasions. Although the Minister himself was briefly occupied and we did not have an in-depth discussion, I interacted with several other senior officials who assured me that the situation would be resolved amicably and lawfully.
I officially submitted my documents. They were reviewed, confirmed, and I was issued receipts. I was further informed that construction activities may resume after 28th February 2026.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL SIERRA LEONEANS 🇸🇱
I urgently call on all Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad who own land in the Peninsula areas — including Waterloo, 4 Mile, 6 Mile, and surrounding communities, to submit your land documents to the Ministry of Lands at the YouYi Building, 3rd Floor, Freetown, no later than 25th February 2026, to ensure your property is properly protected.
Please note that after this date, I may not be able to advocate on anyone’s behalf, as the government has indicated that unoccupied lands may be subject to reclamation.
I strongly encourage everyone, especially those in the diaspora who may be concerned about recent developments, to take immediate action.
If you are unable to attend in person, you may send a trusted representative to the ministry, I will also be sending assistance n guiding them through the proper process to ensure your land is secured. I left everything im doing in the US and got here not just for myself but for all of us, therefore, Let us act responsibly and protect what belongs to us.
Please share this message widely, particularly with Sierra Leoneans abroad.
I love you all deeply, and I remain committed to standing with you. 🇸🇱🤍
