16 Young Girls Representing Beach Road Community at the Special Town Hall

Yesterday, 6th October 2026, I was honoured to lead 16 young girls from our beloved Beach Road Community to participate in the 300 Days of Activism for Triple Zero – Special Town Hall held at the Miatta Civic Centre.

The Town Hall was held under the theme:
“Achieving Triple Zero Together – Progress, Challenges and Next Steps.”

It was a very meaningful opportunity for our girls to be part of a national conversation, listen, learn, ask questions and better understand the issues affecting young people and communities. They had the opportunity to engage with other young people, stakeholders and leaders while gaining knowledge that they can take back to their community.

For me, this was not just about attending an event. It was about giving our young girls a seat at the table, exposing them to important conversations and reminding them that their voices matter.

I am incredibly proud of all 16 girls who represented Beach Road Community with respect, confidence and enthusiasm. Seeing our young people participate in spaces like this is exactly the kind of community development I believe in.

A special thank you to all the parents and guardians who trusted me and allowed your girls to accompany me. Thank you for believing in me enough to entrust your daughters to my care. Your support means a lot to me. 🙏🏾

I also appreciate the support provided after the programme, including transportation and food for the girls, which helped ensure that everyone returned home safely and comfortably.

This is only the beginning. We will continue creating opportunities for our young people to learn, participate, speak up and become responsible leaders in our communities.
Beach Road Community our girls are not just the future; they are part of the present, and their voices deserve to be heard.

The Dalvina Scholar Drive 2026/2027 Mission Accomplished!

With grateful hearts, Dalvina Children Foundation Sierra Leone (DCFSL) would like to sincerely thank every sponsor, supporter, volunteer, parent, guardian, and well-wisher who contributed to making The Dalvina Scholar Drive 2026/2027 a reality.

What began as an idea to support vulnerable children has now become a beautiful reality. Four children two boys and two girls have successfully begun school, equipped with essential items and the support they need to start their educational journey with confidence and dignity.

Through this initiative, we were able to provide essential back-to-school support, including:

THE DALVINA SCHOLAR DRIVE 2026/2027 IS HERE! 🎓📚

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and dream.

Through The Dalvina Scholar Drive, Dalvina Children Foundation Sierra Leone is supporting 4 vulnerable children 2 boys and 2 girls with essential back-to-school support for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The selected children will receive support with school uniforms, shoes and socks, school bags, exercise books, learning materials, back-to-school preparation, and continued encouragement throughout the academic year.

This initiative is designed to complement existing government and community efforts to promote access to education by helping families overcome some of the practical barriers that can keep children from learning.

Alhamdulillah! What started as a vision has become a reality.
The VINA'S U-14 Tournament 2026, organized by the Dalvina Children's Foundation Sierra Leone (DCFSL), has officially come to a successful conclusion.

This journey was not an easy one. It came with countless sleepless nights, planning, stress, challenges, setbacks, and moments when giving up seemed easier. But our belief in developing young talent kept us moving. Today, we celebrate not just a successful tournament, but the dreams of every young footballer who stepped onto our pitch.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to AMIE MORIE FC for emerging as the Champions of the VINA'S U-14 Tournament 2026. Congratulations also to MIMO Football Club for a remarkable performance throughout the competition. Every participating team demonstrated discipline, determination, and sportsmanship, proving that the future of Sierra Leone football is bright.

Our sincere appreciation goes to all the coaches, players, parents, volunteers, referees, media partners, supporters, and members of the community who believed in this vision from day one.

Dalvina Children Foundation Sierra Leone was honored to participate in the Symposium and Reception for Young Diplomats hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone in celebration of Sierra Leone's Independence Day and China's May Fourth Youth Spirit.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Youth Affairs, especially the Honorable Minister of Youth Affairs, for selecting and extending this opportunity to our organization as part of the youth organizations represented at this prestigious event.

The symposium provided a valuable platform for dialogue on youth empowerment, leadership, international cooperation, national development, and the role of young people in shaping the future of our country. It was inspiring to engage with fellow young leaders, policymakers, and development practitioners while exchanging ideas on issues that matter to the growth of Sierra Leone and the global community.

The Dalvina Children Foundation Sierra Leone proudly continues its mission of empowering young people especially girls through sports, education, and community development initiatives.

Today at the Beach Road Community, we witnessed a remarkable moment of impact and inspiration as our CEO officially handed over a generous donation of female football kits to the Beach Road Community Female Team.

This meaningful contribution was made possible through the continued support of Kei Kamara and the Heart Shape Hands Foundation, whose commitment to uplifting young talents in Sierra Leone remains truly commendable.

The joy and excitement expressed by the girls today was overwhelming. Their smiles, gratitude, and heartfelt prayers reflect the powerful difference such support makes in their lives. Youth Stakeholders Engagement – Strengthening the Future of Youth Development

The National Youth Commission Sierra Leone, in collaboration with the National Youth Sector Caucus, successfully hosted a One-Day Engagement with Youth Organizations and Youth-Serving Agencies.
The meeting focused on reflecting on past developments within the youth sector, while also highlighting new strategies, plans, and opportunities aimed at advancing youth empowerment in Sierra Leone. The theme, “Advancing Advocacy and Leveraging Expertise for Youth Empowerment in Sierra Leone,” set the tone for impactful discussions and collaboration.

Although our Executive was unable to attend due to health reasons, the Dalvina Children Foundation Sierra Leone was proudly represented by one of our dedicated volunteers, who actively participated and engaged in the sessions.

We appreciate the opportunity to be part of such an important dialogue that continues to shape the future of young people across the country. We remain committed to contributing to youth development and building stronger partnerships within the sector.

A successful and memorable Opening Ceremony of the Vina’s U14 Tournament 4th Edition was held by Dalvina Children’s Foundation Sierra Leone. ⚽🇸🇱

The ceremony was highly honored by the presence of the Honorable Minister of Youth Affairs, who officially kicked off the tournament and delivered an inspiring statement to the young players. He advised the players to stay away from drug abuse, remain disciplined, focused, and use football as a tool for growth and success.

The Minister also commended Dalvina Children’s Foundation Sierra Leone for organizing such a powerful youth initiative and emphasized his commitment to continuously support youth empowerment and sports development across the country. He further assured DCFSL of his support in promoting positive opportunities for young people.

The event was graced by distinguished personalities, football stakeholders, coaches, parents, supporters, and community members who came out in large numbers to support the young talents.
