BELIEVER STAY AWAKE

The need for the believer to always be vigilant and watchful is non-negotiable. Failure to do so will mean a successful attack of the devil. Peter advised, 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. The devil is aware of how important you are and the work you have been called out to fulfill and more importantly about the greater plan of God for your life. He has one job, to distract, attack and take you off course. Be watchful, be vigilant.

Don't sleep. Stay sober. Stay awake. The enemy attacks when you are not on watch, Matthew 13:25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. The bible warned us not to be ignorant of the devices and wiles of the enemy. It is true the devil doesn't have power over us, but that doesn't mean he can't attack. He has been attacking God's people since the very beginning via subtle tricks (Adam and Eve, Peter etc). So be watchful dear believer. The devil attacks in subtle manner with good things and bad things, be vigilant.

When the disciples of Christ were put on a watch before the arrest of Jesus, He met them sleeping and asked this question, Matthew 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Jesus asked his disciples to watch with Him. How? Watch in Prayer!! He later said in the following verse for them to Watch and Pray!! As a believer you ought to be always watching in prayer. Prayer is how you watch and keep awake. Always be fired up in prayer as you keep watching and keep being vigilant daily. Jesus is glorified

FREEDOM IN CHRIST

Slavery is a condition of captivity, lack of power to resist or under domination. Death came along with sin, that held man in captivity. Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned The bo***ge of the sin nature was not one that could be gotten rid of by prayers, nor could it be gotten rid of by the sacrificial offerings of animals. Sin could only be taken away through a perfect sacrifice. Jesus became that perfect sacrifice for sin. Hebrews 10:12 But our High Priest offered himself to God as one sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down at the place of highest honor at God's right hand.

The price was paid completely to set man free from the bo***ge of sin. All a man ought to do now to become partaker of this freedom is to acknowledge by faith what has been done through Christ. Freedom for the soul is found in Christ. And when Christ set you free, you become free indeed. John 8:36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. We have been liberated through Christ. God's spirit resides in us. And wherever the Spirit of God is, there's true liberty. 2Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty.

You have freedom in Christ dear believer. There's no room for family bo***ge, no room for demonic bo***ge, no room for environmental bo***ge, you have been set free through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. You have full dominion and power over sin, for you are no longer a slave of it. Romans 6:7 - For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. You have been set free by the power in the blood of Christ that remit sin. You have freedom in Christ dear believer, use it well, just don't use it for occasion of the flesh. Enjoy your freedom in Christ. Jesus is glorified

DO NOT CONFORM TO THE WORLD

It has always been stated that there is a clear distinction between the system of God and the system of the world. And were warned as believers, not to conform to the system of the world. Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world...To conform means to comply or act in accordance to expectation. In other words, Apostle Paul was saying we are not supposed to act in accordance to the expectation of the world. This is not only limited to acting, we are not supposed to take instructions from the world. The world should not tell you how to run your life as a believer nor define things for you, for you have been chosen to come out of the world. John 15:19 The world would love you if you belonged to it, but you don't. I chose you to come out of the world, and so it hates you. Adhering to the instructions of the world on how you live as a believer limits your standard as a child of God.

The world should not tell you what is love, their definition is quite different from yours. The world should not define righteousness and holiness for you. The world should not dictate on how you spend your money as a believer. They invest so much in sports and other recreations with no intervention from the church. When it comes to giving in the church, they define charity to you, instituting negativities in giving to the church. No one talks about how lavishly they spend their cash in promoting celebrities, but they dictate to you how you should manage your offerings in church. The believer ought to live above the system of the world, his standard is of Christ. Ephesians 2:6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.

Your service to God is foolishness in the eyes of the world. Your giving in the kingdom of God will never make sense to them. They will never understand you for they are unspiritual. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But people who aren't Christians can't understand these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them because only those who have the Spirit can understand what the Spirit means. Why should you then allow a system that does not understand who you are or where you belong to define for you? Why do you allow them to dictate to you on how you run your life as a believer? Live above the system of the world, not allowing them to define for you. Jesus remains glorified.
