FGM survivors who are fighting to end the practice are not influenced by the West nor funding as supporters propagate.

The ordeal majority of those women have suffered during and after the procedure is unspeakable.

Women suffer in the labor room, increase cesarean operations, high rate of infant mortality, sexual challenges, an increase of HIV amongst women, and an increase in fistula cases.

If you are lucky not to experience any of these, it does not make the practice perfect.

Fight for the many women and girls who are ashamed to come forward.
