From the 3rd to the 6th of May 2025 has been a very productive days with my participation in the Extraordinary meeting for the Reform process of the Pan African Youth Union and the National Youth Councils and other relevant structures in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, organized by the Pan African Youth Union.

The essence of this very important extraordinary meeting is to set a clear road map for the Reform process.

A document has been adopted for African Union approval

This document will look into the restructuring of the National Youth Council across the continent and the Pan African Youth Union.

Commissions will be created to give support to the process.

This is all gearing up to the AU agenda for the(the Africa we want).

We will continue to work for the continent we love which is Africa 🌍

The has been very much instrumental in promoting the young people of Africa.
From the 15th to 19th of December 2024, they hosted the 2nd Consultative Dialogue which brought together more than 49 Head of National Youth Councils/National Youth Coordinating Mechanism to Accra Ghana, including civil society organization, National Youth Delegates from the Common wealth,Directors of youth from different African countries and many other dignitaries.

The aim of the conference was to bring in reform mechanisms into both the Pan African youth Union and that of the National Youth Councils across the Continent.

It was hectic but productive at the end the three days in Ghana
So many issues were discussed during the consultative dialogue such as

1. The Formation, Strengthening and institutionalization of the National Youth Council,

2. Youth,Peace and Security came up very strongly as it was recommended that African countries should have a National Action Plans on it.

3. Skills development and Entrepreneurship programs was also a point of discussion.

4. Climate issues and many more recommendations were made which will be captured in the final report of the conference.

The Sierra Leone delegation headed by National Youth President contributed greatly not only for Sierra Leone but the Continent as a whole.

I want to, on behalf of the Sierra Leone delegation say thanks and appreciation to the Pan African Youth Union , the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ghana, the Kingdom of Morocco and all delegates for making the 2nd Consultative Dialogue a reality.
