Quality Education and the Future of Sierra Leone
There was a time when Sierra Leone was known as the "Athens of Africa" — families from across the continent and beyond sent their children here to study, because our education system stood for excellence and integrity.
Over the past 60 years, that standard has been eroded. War, instability, and a culture of exam malpractice have taken their toll. Today, grades are bought, integrity is compromised, and the future of our children hangs in the balance.
At JCC, we believe it doesn't have to be this way. We hold our teachers to a high standard of integrity — no shortcuts, no compromise — and as a result, JCC is becoming known across the country for the quality and credibility of its education.
That's why JCCM is hosting a Panel Discussion bringing together representatives from the Ministry of Education, the headteacher of Bo School, teachers, students, and community leaders to talk honestly about this issue — and about how integrity, in our exams and in our lives as followers of Christ, can shape a better future for Sierra Leone.
