With support from the Global Fund for Children (GFC), CASE SALONE adolescent Girls and Boys from both Rural and Urban communities, proudly participated at the 2026 Adolescent Girls Summit (AGS) in Côte d’Ivoire, an extraordinary gathering that brought together voices from across Sierra Leone, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Liberia, Guinea, the United States, Kenya, Uganda, Benin, Burkina Faso, and Senegal.
Over four transformative days, the summit evolved into a vibrant space where ideas were exchanged, stories were courageously shared, and bonds were formed across borders.
With this year's theme, Count us in: African Adolescents Co-Creating Solutions to Advance Gender Justice and Rights. Adolescent girls stood at the center leading conversations, challenging norms, and inspiring actions, a reminder that when girls are given the platform to speak, they do not just participate, they lead.
Through interactive sessions, dialogue circles, and collaborative engagements, participants explored critical issues affecting girls while also uncovering opportunities for growth, leadership, and advocacy.
AGS reaffirmed a powerful truth: empowering adolescent girls is not a single action, but a sustained commitment. It is about creating safe spaces, amplifying voices, and investing in the potential of girls as agents of change within their communities and beyond.
As we return, we carry with us a renewed sense of responsibility to continue building pathways where every girl is seen, heard, and empowered to thrive.
