🎥 This video presents highlights from the study visit organised in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania, within the framework of the EASI project – Enhancing Assessment Skills of In-company Tutors Hosting International Students for Improved Work-based Learning Evaluation.

Bringing together VET educators and in-company tutors, the activity created a space to exchange practices and strengthen competencies in assessing learners in real work-based environments—an essential component for ensuring the quality of international mobility experiences.

The visit also highlighted the strong synergies between the EASI and AVETE projects. While addressing closely related topics, both initiatives converge towards a shared goal: innovating and strengthening vocational education and training systems, particularly in the context of international VET mobilities. This alignment enables a more coherent and impactful approach to developing quality standards and practices across projects.

👏 A special acknowledgement to our Romanian partner, Harghita County Council (Hargita Megye Tanácsa), for their excellent coordination and successful parallel implementation of both projects. This achievement reflects a high level of institutional capacity, professionalism, and long-term commitment to advancing VET.

🌍 Yesterday in Moravske Toplice, Slovenia, we gathered for the final coordination meeting of our Move to Improve project, bringing our two-year and collaboration to a meaningful close. Partners from across the Western Balkans and the EU reunited one last time to reflect on achievements, lessons learned, and the future of regional VET cooperation.

✨ The day began with welcoming remarks setting an inspiring tone for a day built on reflection, transparency, and shared commitment. Throughout the morning, partner organisations from 🇦🇱 Albania, 🇧🇦 Bosnia & Herzegovina, 🇽🇰 Kosovo, 🇲🇪 Montenegro, 🇷🇸 Serbia, 🇸🇰 Slovakia, 🇸🇮 Slovenia shared how international programmes, teacher development, and mobility initiatives helped address skills mismatches, strengthened school–company cooperation, and supported students in gaining the competencies needed in today’s digital and globalised economy. 💡🌍
Partners revisited the project’s key actions, like the on-the-spot staff training in all the Western Balkan partner countries, the three up-skilling seminar 📚 and of course the long-term apprenticeships abroad for seven VET students. 🌐 Each action became a powerful tool for strengthening both teachers’ and students’ capacities across the region.

During the day we reviewed final documentation and reporting 🗂️, ensuring that every activity and outcome was captured clearly. One of the most valuable moments of the day was looking ahead, exploring how we can continue supporting teachers, expanding Work-Based Learning in more schools and companies, and keeping this partnership alive beyond the project itself. 🤝

Partners also reflected on challenges faced during implementation, supporting disadvantaged learners, ensuring gender balance, and navigating administrative complexity. These honest insights will guide stronger, more inclusive initiatives in the future. 💬

As the day concluded, one message stood out: Move to Improve created more than results, it built a committed community working for better opportunities, stronger regional cooperation, and a more inclusive VET landscape in the Western Balkans.

🚀 Though the project formally ended, the partnerships, knowledge, and motivation will continue to grow and as one delegate said we need to move to improve. 🌱✨ Here’s to two years of learning, collaboration, and lasting impact — and to everything that will follow.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to all our partners Albania Privredna komora Republike Srpske Privredna komora Republike Srpske Education Center - KEC Centar za stručno obrazovanje Privredna komora Vojvodine
Ljudska univerza Lendava for their dedication, collaboration and commitment throughout this project. Your expertise, openness, and teamwork made every step of this two-year journey meaningful and impactful. Together, we proved once again that real change happens when organisations join forces with a shared vision.

ℹ️ The "Move to Improve!" project is received funding from the European Union. With this project we move to improve and enhance vocational education across Central Europe and the Western Balkans through international programs and promotion of work-based learn.

🌿 After the inspiring discussions, the EASI Innovation Conference took learning beyond the conference room into the field. The second working day of the event was dedicated to experience how innovation and tradition coexist in real-world vocational education. Participants visited local enterprises that are shaping the future of skills through sustainable practices, digitalisation, and collaboration between training and industry.

🏛️ At Grimouras Olive Mill, delegates discovered how a family-run business combines centuries-old olive oil traditions with modern technology and structured training, offering young learners a model for excellence in craftsmanship and sustainability.

🥝 The visit to Kiwi Farm showcased the power of green skills in agri-food production, where sustainability, resource efficiency, and hands-on learning meet. Participants explored how vocational training can prepare the next generation for environmentally responsible innovation.

💡 The final stop at Joist Innovation Park from Larissa revealed how creativity and technology drive the future of learning. Here, participants experienced innovation-driven education in action from digital transformation to cross-sectoral collaboration between educators, entrepreneurs, and tech experts.

✨ These visits tied back to yesterday’s discussions on VET–industry collaboration, skills for the global labour market, and inclusive regional development. They showed that theory and practice go hand in hand and that meaningful partnerships are built not only in conference halls, but also on the ground, where innovation takes root.

With participants from 🇬🇷 🇭🇺 🇸🇰 🇸🇮 🇷🇴, the EASI journey continues to prove that vocational excellence grows where collaboration, innovation, and learning meet.

🌅 Within our pilot KA3 project , yesterday in Platamonas, the EASI Innovation Conference: SMEs and Tutors in the European VET Landscape kickstarted with a day full of meaningful discussion, shared perspectives, and new partnerships.

💡 The sessions showcased inspiring examples of cooperation between education and business, where participants agreed that while innovation can start in projects, sustainability requires trust, consistent communication, and recognising in-company tutors as key contributors to vocational excellence.

🌍 Later on the day discussions turned toward the evolving demands of the labour market. Digital competence, adaptability, and intercultural skills emerged as the pillars of employability in a rapidly changing economy. Delegates emphasised the importance of preparing learners not only with technical expertise but also with the confidence and flexibility to navigate global workplaces.

🤝 The afternoon on the stakeholders networking forum gathered VET professionals, SME managers, and local representatives to explore how regional cooperation and local innovation can make mobility more inclusive and accessible, meanwhile we learned more about the region of Pieria and regional realities.
