It brings together citizens, communities, and organisations to tackle one of the greatest challenges of our time – the climate crisis. By turning Europe’s green ambitions into real local action, it shows that the EU not only sets global standards, but also empowers each of us to be part of the solution for a thriving future.

Our colleagues Valentína Hučková and Ivan Lesay are Climate Pact Ambassadors, connected to a growing network of people working on climate solutions and green transition strategies across Europe.

Our organisation itself was, in many ways, built through connections made possible by the European Climate Pact community.

Has a climate story ever reached your heart and changed the way you think or act?

Tell us! We’re creating a Slovak–Czech handbook on climate storytelling for audiovisual education, and we’re looking for local examples.

We’re searching for Slovak or Czech films, series, or TV formats where climate or environmental themes are part of the story — not just the background.

The handbook will: explain what climate storytelling is show how it works in practice feature strong SK, CZ & international examples

🌍 Climate Stories in Bratislava – highlights from our last event 🎬

Slovakia’s first workshop on Climate Storytelling in audiovisual media at Kino Lumière during the film festival Filmový festival Jeden svet brought together students, filmmakers, producers, and creatives from various fields.

✨ What made the day special?
• a diverse mix of live-action, TV, documentary, and animation voices
• hands-on exercises shaping powerful climate story ideas
• inspiring discussions and new connections between creativity & sustainability

We are a small, dedicated team working to shift the narrative from fear and paralysis to realism and action. We believe climate change conversations can be honest, grounded, and empowering - and that stories matter in how we move forward.

🌱 Zuzana Bieliková Zuzi Bielikova
Co-founder, Strategic Partnerships Manager
An internationally certified specialist in green film production. Zuzana focuses on setting greener standards in film and animation and manages national and international partnerships that help turn ideas into real impact.

🎬 Valentína Hučková
Co-founder, Project and Funding Manager
A seasoned manager with extensive experience in film production, marketing, and green filming. Valentína oversees fundraising and operations, making sure projects are both meaningful and sustainable.

📊 Ivan Lesay
Founder, Strategic Development Manager
An experienced executive with strong European expertise in public finance and green investments. Ivan leads the strategic development of Climate Stories and helps shape its long-term direction.

Together, we work at the intersection of climate, culture, and responsibility — telling stories that don’t freeze us in fear, but encourage thoughtful action.

Počas Filmový festival Jeden svet sme otvorili prvý workshop venovaný Climate Storytellingu – a Daniela vo videu vysvetľuje, prečo je dnes také dôležité prinášať klimatické príbehy, ktoré ľudí dokážu zaujať a zasiahnuť. V čase klimatickej zmeny totiž potrebujeme viac než fakty. Potrebujeme príbehy, ktoré vytvárajú spojenie, prinášajú porozumenie a motivujú konať.

🌍 Climate Stories in Bratislava! 🎬

Slovakia’s first workshop on Climate Storytelling in audiovisual media at Kino Lumière, in partnership with Filmový festival Jeden svet is over.

✨ Students, filmmakers, producers and creatives explored how stories can communicate climate realities and sustainability, and inspire action.

💡 Highlights:
• diversity of participants, spanning live-action, TV, documentary and even animation!
• Hands-on exercises allowed participants to develop and share impactful story concepts
• The cross-sectoral attendance and experts who led the day created a fertile ground for networking discussions, connecting creativity with sustainability

Together, we’re shaping a sustainable, creative future, one story at a time. 🌱🎥

Zajtra, 23. októbra, sa v Bratislave uskutoční jedinečný Climate Stories workshop na Filmový festival Jeden svet – určený pre filmové profesionálstvo, študentstvo a všetkých, ktorých zaujíma, ako rozprávať klimatické príbehy cez audiovíziu.

⏰ Čas: workshop začne ráno 9:30, doobedný blok začína 14:30

Čo vás čaká: prednášky, diskusie aj interaktívna tvorba — so slovenskými aj zahraničnými lektorkami.
