Bisexual Awareness Month is upon us again! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™ Come dive into stories about bisexuality and love. Let these books take you on a journey through time, first loves, shared experiences, and self-discovery.

Every bookโ€”whether on this list or on our shelvesโ€”is a gateway to learning, understanding, connection, and a little bit of magic. โœจ

Are you ready to dive in? We are!

1) The Extraordinaries (Series) by TJ Klune
A q***r young adult trilogy combining superhero action, humor, and a heartfelt romance. Set in Nova City, home to extraordinary superheroes, the story follows Nicholas Bellโ€”a long-time fanfiction writer who gets rescued by Shadow Star, kickstarting an unforgettable journey of romance and friendship.

2) The Bisexual Option by Fritz Klein
Drawing on sociology, psychology, history, art, and candid conversations with bisexual participants, this book explores bisexuality, explains the bisexual identity, and busts common myths.

3) The Bisexualโ€™s Guide to the Universe by Nicole Kristal and Mike Szymanski
A humorous, irreverent, and practical handbook that ditches academic jargon for a lighthearted look at the realities of the bisexual experience.

All of these titles are available for borrowing at Pelangi Pride Centre! We are open this Saturday again from 2 PM to 6 PM, so drop by to check them out (along with countless others in our collection). We can't wait to see y'all! ๐Ÿ‘‹โœจ

๐Ÿ“š September is here, and the year is moving along.

After a busy few months of Pride, Pink Dot, and National Day, September brings us back to the everyday rhythm of the library. The books are still on the shelves, the space is still here, and there is always something new to discover. ๐Ÿ’–

We will be open for all four Saturdays in September. Whether you are returning for another read, looking for something new, or visiting us for the first time, come spend an afternoon with us.

Some months bring celebrations and big moments, while others give us the chance to settle back into familiar routines. We are glad to be here for both. ๐ŸŒฟ

See you at the library this September!

We hope everyone had an enjoyable long weekend! While National Day falls at the start of August, our celebration of Singaporean stories continues throughout the month. There is always more to discover in the stories we read about Singapore!

Every August, we turn our focus to SingLit and highlight works that bring q***r/trans lives, experiences, histories, and perspectives into our local literary landscape. From fiction to memoir and advocacy, these books invite us to look at Singapore through different eyes and to think about the stories that have shaped, and continue to shape, our communities, reflecting on how we have come so far, not only from our modern history as an independent nation, but our colonial past as well.

These are stories and perspectives from Singapore, each offering its own way of going beyond what is familiar, visible, or already known.

Weโ€™re open this coming Saturday. Come by to discover these titles and explore more of our Singlit collection ๐Ÿ’–

๐Ÿ“š August, in all its different rhythms. ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

It is a month of celebration, of National Day, of thinking about home and the many ways we belong.

And if there is a time to turn towards our own stories, this is it.

On our shelves are voices from here, local q***r lives, memories, and imaginings that reflect the many ways of being in Singapore.

We will be open on all Saturdays in August, except 8 August as we take a short break over the National Day weekend.

Please note that on 1 August, the library will open later at 3pm.

On the other Saturdays, come by to explore our collection of local q***r literature, spend some time in the space, and be part of a community that continues to grow around these stories. ๐ŸŒฟ

๐Ÿ“š July is here, and while Pride Month may have passed, Pride continues every day. ๐ŸŒˆโœจ

If you stopped by our booth at Pink Dot, it was lovely meeting you! And if you have been meaning to visit, this is your sign to come by, check out the collection, or take a breather in our safe space. ๐Ÿ’–

July feels a little quieter here after Pride, but our doors are still open and the welcome remains the same. Q***r stories are still waiting on the shelves, and there is always space for you to browse, borrow, return, or simply spend a little time here.

We will be open on all Saturdays in July. Come by to discover something new, revisit a favourite, or ease into an unhurried afternoon with us. ๐ŸŒฟ

Pride carries on in these small, steady moments, in showing up, in staying, and in the spaces we continue to build together. โœจ
