On 14 September, Caring for Life invited Beautiful People to speak at their annual Community Su***de Prevention Summit, where we joined a segment on su***de prevention for women in vulnerable circumstances.
Adlina, our Programme & Strategy Senior Executive, highlighted the critical transition young women face post discharge, where resurfacing trauma, financial strains and navigating new relationships can create complex challenges.
Through My Beautiful Life, Beautiful People actively bridges this gap by supporting mentees as they prepare for discharge, and continuing to journey alongside them through our community programmes as they step into adulthood and new life stages.
Drawing on her own journey as a Young Leaders mentor, Adlina also shared the reality of supporting a mentee through crisis, emphasizing why a supportive community for both mentees and mentors is vital.
We were grateful to share this panel alongside HCSA Dayspring Rehabilitation Treatment Centre, our long-time partner since 2016.
Thank you to Caring for Life for hosting this essential conversation, and for equipping our mentors through Su***de Prevention LIFE Training, as we work together towards a safer, more connected Singapore 🧡
