♿ Making Way for Everyone – Smoother Journeys at Block 8!

During a recent visit to Block 8 Lorong 7 Toa Payoh, residents shared feedback on improving accessibility around the block, including a request for ramps to create a more convenient walking route.
We heard you. ✅

🆕 Two new ramps are now up at Block 8 Lorong 7 Toa Payoh, making it easier for seniors, families, and residents using mobility aids to get around.
These improvements create a smoother, more accessible connection around the block, making everyday journeys more convenient for all.

We will continue to take in residents’ feedback and identify practical improvements to make our common spaces safer, more accessible, and inclusive for everyone. 💚

[New Spaces, More Users 🌳]

Part 2 of our Good News update, this time on the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme projects transforming our community spaces across Toa Payoh Central.

Active Ageing Centre, Blk 101B Lor 2. An extension of current offerings by Care Corner to gather, stay active and connect.

Community Library, Blk 101A Lor 2. A refreshed reading corner for all ages, because learning never stops.

Fitness Corner and Badminton Court, between Blk 97 and 99C. New fitness stations and a refreshed court for your daily workouts.

Fitness Corner, Covered Seating and Playground, Blk 172 Lor 1. A multi-generational space where seniors exercise, parents relax and kids play.

Plus an improved pavilion at Blk 93 and a refreshed sheltered walkway at Blk 177.

Cause we're all about bringing people together and making our neighbourhood more liveable!

🛒 Exciting times ahead for Blk 22 Market & Food Centre!

If you've grown up shopping, eating, and catching up with neighbours at Blk 22, you'll know it's more than just a market – it's a part of our community's heartbeat. ❤️

Now, it's time to give this well-loved space a fresh new look! Here's what you can look forward to:

✅ Re-levelled flooring with new anti-slip tiles
✅ Improved drainage to reduce water ponding
✅ Refreshed seating layout – wheelchair-friendly tables, options for children & seniors, and larger community tables
✅ Upgraded LED lighting for a brighter, fresher space
✅ Roof repairs & fresh coat of paint
✅ Complete toilet overhaul – cleaner, more modern, more hygienic
✅ Bird & rodent control measures – more bird spikes + new stainless-steel divider
✅ A new dragon feature – a familiar touch with its own character! 🐉

To make all this possible, Blk 22 Market & Food Centre will be temporarily closed from 14 September to 13 December 2026.

It'll take a little time, but we hope the improvements will be worth the wait. We'll see you back here on 14 December! 💪

[Refreshing Our Estate, Inside and Out 🏠]

An auntie stopped me last week to say she loves coming home to the new colour scheme of our blocks! And that's rather the whole point of a refresh!

Our quarterly Good News update, this time on the R&R works now completed across Toa Payoh Central.

Fresh new look. Repainted blocks.

Safety first. Anti-slip coating in void decks and lift lobbies, new stair-edge strips, anti-algae corridors, and drains repaired.

Behind the scenes. New bin chute tiles, aluminium bin chamber doors, fire-rated staircase doors, and roof seepage fixed.

Accessibility and comfort. New floor-level signs, a new railing beside Block 186, and the Lift Replacement Programme underway.

Thanks to your feedback, we are not stopping here. Part 2 on a bigger NRP project is coming!

🚶‍♂️ A smoother way home – just for you!

You spoke, we listened. 👂

Residents shared that a proper walking path was needed near Block 8 Lorong 7 Toa Payoh. So we took action. ✅

A new footpath has been completed – providing a safer and smoother way home for everyone, especially seniors, families with young children, and those with mobility needs.

No more uneven ground or muddy patches. Just a proper path to make everyday journeys easier. 🏡💚

🪑 A New Resting Spot at Blk 238

Good news, residents! We've heard your request – and a new bench has been installed at the drop‑off point at Block 238 Bishan Street 22.

This gives everyone, especially our seniors, a comfortable spot to rest while waiting for transport.
It's one of many simple but meaningful upgrades we're making to improve our shared spaces and enhance the well‑being of our community.

We're committed to keeping Marymount comfortable, caring, and liveable.
