Morning Star Community Services Morning Star Community Services is a registered charity and Institution of Public Character (IPC) whi CareNights operates from 6 pm to 10 pm every weeknight.

After-School Care Services - Morning Star Community Services provide conveniently located after-school care services for working parents to drop off their primary school children during off-school hours between 7.30 am and 6.30 pm on weekdays. Our after-school care facilitators create interesting curriculum-based learning stations and theme-based activities to facilitate children's learning through creative and interactive ways. NOVA Learning Intervention Programme - The NOVA Learning Intervention Programme was launched in 2006 for mainstream children who encounter various difficulties in school such as social, emotional and relational difficulties. Through daily individualised interventions, the children are helped to cope better. The main objectives of the programme are to help children develop and strengthen their learning abilities in each of the four domains, namely, social, emotional, behavioural and academic. Training & Workshops - Morning Star Community Services offers evidence-based parenting workshops which aim to empower families, by offering them practical skills and knowledge to strengthen family relationships. Counselling & Therapy - Morning Star Community Services has a team of professional counsellors who support the emotional and mental wellbeing of our clients, their family members and also the general public when necessary. People seek counselling therapy for someone to help them navigate through a difficult time to gain clarity and concrete options on dealing with situations. CareNights @ Morning Star - The signature programme started in July 2016 to provide temporary support to parents who are on skill upgrading programmes, working night shifts or needing respite from caregiving in order to attend to family crises. Children are engaged in structured activities to support their learning of values and skills, such as Art for Therapy, reading, homework coaching, and performing arts.

Li Yun’s parents are both deaf and communicate primarily through sign language. Like any loving parents, they want their daughter to become the best version of herself. 💛

Supporting her schoolwork has been challenging, but their love and encouragement have always been there.

Through ASPIRE Junior & CareNights®, eight-year-old Li Yun received patient guidance to build everyday skills, confidence and friendships. Today, she is more independent and enjoys playing, learning and spending time with her friends.

With support, children can thrive and families can feel reassured.

Support us in giving every child a place to belong.

Delivering Emotions: Write a Letter, Share a Connection

When was the last time you wrote a heartfelt message by hand?

This World Post Day, join Morning Star Community Services and SingPost in celebrating the simple yet powerful act of writing a postcard to someone who matters.

Whether you want to say "thank you", "I'm thinking of you", "I miss you", or "I'm proud of you", your words can help strengthen relationships and brighten someone's day.

Come explore the World Post Day exhibition, pen a meaningful message, and be reminded that genuine connection is just a letter away.

💕 Because every postcard carries more than words. It carries care, appreciation, and connection.

📮 Give where you are. Write where your heart is.

A child doesn’t have to reach a crisis to need support.

At Morning Star, we believe in being there early, creating safe spaces for children to talk, learn to manage their feelings and grow with the support of their families.

Small steps today can make a difference tomorrow. 💙

Help us be there for more children and families.

A small donation. A big lesson.

Our Bedok North Student Care children recently raised $200 through a stationery sale during their Open House.
What makes this story special is that the children originally planned to use the money to buy games for the centre. Instead, after discussing it together, they decided to donate the entire amount to thChildren's Cancer Foundation (CCF).

During the donation ceremony, the children met representatives from CCF, learned how community support makes a difference to the children and families they serve, and personally presented their donation.

We're incredibly proud of them for choosing generosity and showing that no act of giving is ever too small.
Because every child can make a difference.
If their story inspires you, help us continue nurturing compassionate young changemakers through our programmes.

Starting Primary 1 next year? Choosing the school is only the beginning.

You’ve probably thought about uniforms, books, school buses and getting used to a whole new routine.

But there’s another question that often creeps up:

“What happens after school?”

Who picks them up?
Where do they have lunch?
Who helps when there’s homework?
And what if you work from home some days, or your child has CCA or enrichment on others?

Not every family needs Student Care five days a week. And that’s okay.

At Morning Star Community Services, we’ve introduced Flexible After-School Care for children aged 7–12 at our Bedok centres, so your care arrangement can fit around your family’s actual week.

⭐ 3-Day Flexi-Care – $280/month
Choose three fixed days each week.

📅 5-Day Care – $362/month
For families who need regular weekday care.

☀️ Ad-hoc Daily Care – $60/day
For the days when you simply need an extra pair of hands.

And flexible doesn’t mean less care. Your child can still have school pick-up, lunch and afternoon tea, homework supervision and Social-Emotional Learning, in a supportive after-school environment.

The goal? 💛

Less juggling for you. A more settled after-school routine for your child.

If your child is starting P1 and you’re beginning to piece together next year’s routine, you don’t have to wait until January to figure it all out.

📱 WhatsApp 8718 8631 to chat with us about which option could fit your family.

Start P1 with an after-school plan that fits your week.

✏️ Drawn together. Written from the heart. 💌

There were plenty of smiles at our SELebrate Connections booth at Walk With Caritas!

Families and participants sat for their very own live caricatures 🎨, while others picked up a postcard, wrote a message to someone special and dropped it into our postbox. 📮

Amid the bustle of the day, these little moments gave us a chance to pause, laugh, write and connect.

Because strengthening relationships doesn’t always need a grand gesture. Sometimes it’s a funny portrait, a handwritten message, or simply letting someone know:

“I’m thinking of you.” ❤️

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, joined in and supported Morning Star’s work with children and families.

“A little pose… ✏️” → “A few quick strokes…” → “Ta-da! 😄” → “Meanwhile… 💌” → “Write someone a message” → “Pop it in the post 📮” → “Small moments. Stronger connections. ❤️”. That would give the clips a much more cohesive beginning-to-end story.
