JUGAS has been active in providing networking opportunities for graduates from Japan since its formation in December 1970, and was awarded the Japan Foreign Minister's Commendation in 2005 for its contributions to the promotion of friendship between Singapore and Japan. JUGAS has more than 400 members who graduated from Japanese universities, including Associate Members who completed non-degree co

urses from Japanese colleges, and students who are currently studying for their degree courses in Japan. Our members’ profiles are diverse, ranging from CEOs, Managing Directors of multinational companies to top civil servants in the government, and young and promising graduates who just started in their careers. We also help administer scholarship programs, such as the ASCOJA- MEXT Scholarship for Post Graduate and Undergraduate Studies, and the G30 Undergraduate Programs in Japan. Last month, JUGAS had our annual Shinnenkai - one of JUGAS' largest activities in our activity calendar.

We were graced by the presence of Ambassador Ishikawa and Mrs. Ishikawa, and had a great evening connecting and re-connecting.
