🌱 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) is about caring for our environment, supporting our people and community, and making responsible choices for a better future.

From planting the seeds to watering and caring for the plants, the boys get to experience first-hand what it takes to nurture something from the ground up. 🍅

Along the way, they learn patience, responsibility and teamwork, while discovering the simple joy of watching their tomato plants grow and eventually bear fruit. 🌿

Because meaningful growth starts small — one seed, one tomato plant and one small step at a time. 💙🏡

🇸🇬 Celebrating SG61 with pride and purpose! 🇸🇬

On 9 August 2026, our boys were delighted to be part of “Woven Together” at the Sustainable Singapore Gallery, Marina Barrage, celebrating Singapore’s National Day through community, culture and sustainability. From weaving into a shared tapestry to discovering sustainable fashion and creative expressions, our boys enjoyed a meaningful day of connection, learning and celebration. 💙🧵🌱

Together, we celebrate Singapore—one community, one shared journey, one future. 🇸🇬✨

🏡 Home isn't just where we live—it's where we grow, learn, stumble, rise, and dream.

This National Day, we're grateful for every staff member, volunteer, donor and partner who walks alongside our boys, reminding them that they are never alone.

Together, we are building a future filled with hope, resilience and opportunity.

Majulah Singapura! 🇸🇬❤️

While many of us look forward to the weekend, some of our boys eagerly anticipate something even more meaningful — going home. 🏠

Every Friday, a handful of our boys head home for the weekend with their families. These home leave are more than just a break from the Home; they are an important part of each boy's reintegration journey. 🤝

Home leave provides opportunities for our boys to reconnect with their loved ones, strengthen family relationships, and gradually adjust to life at home. It also allows them to practise the values, routines, and life skills they have been learning at MWH in a familiar environment, while our team continues to work closely with their families throughout the process. 🌱

Reintegration doesn't happen overnight. It takes time, patience, consistency, and the collective support of caregivers, families, and the community. Every home leave is a small but significant step towards helping our boys build stronger family connections and, where possible, return home with confidence. ❤️

Because every child deserves the opportunity to belong, reconnect, and thrive within a loving family. 🫶

Sometimes, making a difference isn't about doing something extraordinary. It's as simple as making sure a child has something nice as a treat to eat after school.

Last Friday, our boys enjoyed a special tea break generously sponsored by Elitz Empowerment Group. It wasn't just about the food. It was the excitement of seeing a treat waiting for them, the chatter around the table, and the smiles that came with knowing someone they had never met had thought of them.

To Elitz Empowerment Group , thank you for reminding our boys that kindness can come from people beyond the walls of our Home.

If you have ever wondered how you can support MWH, it doesn't always have to be through a large donation. Sponsoring a meal during the school holidays, celebrating a festive occasion, or contributing towards their everyday needs are all meaningful ways to be part of their journey.

Because for a child who has experienced uncertainty, knowing that someone cares can be just as nourishing as the meal itself.

If you or your organisation would like to partner with us, we would love to hear from you.

🌿🏆 A proud achievement for Muhammadiyah Welfare Home!

On 4 July 2026, the East Zone Team was recognised at the Singapore Gardener's Cup Awards for their exhibit, "Last Kopi Order! Ants Gather!", receiving two prestigious accolades:
🏅 Outstanding Construction Award
🏅 Outstanding Educational Value Award

Led by Cg Foziah Yeon, the project brought together the collective efforts of the East Zone partners to create an engaging exhibit that celebrates nature while promoting environmental education.

Muhammadiyah Welfare Home is proud to have contributed significantly to the project by producing most of the artwork, handcrafted ants, and plant labels that helped bring the exhibit to life.

Congratulations to Cg Foziah Yeon and the entire East Zone Team on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this collaboration such a meaningful success! 💚🌱
