ACTC “青松天地” - 爱你的双脚

青松天地很荣幸邀请到李科宏老师到爱加倍中心，为超过80位参加“爱你的双脚”运动的朋友，带来一段有益中老年人的双脚运动。当天，李老师分享他年轻时因身体上的一些软弱，促使他学习并创建一组让自己和他人受益的运动，重建生活动力。老师生动地分享了他个人的故事，接而以示范和讲解“爱你的双脚”运动的步骤。

一个小时的示范讲解让参加者获益不少，纷纷在午餐时涌向李老师请教。

此次活动促进了身心健康，也让参加者期待下一次的 ”爱护双手，远离疼痛“活动。

We had the privilege of inviting Instructor James Lee to Agape Centre with more than 80 participants registered for the “Love Your Leg” program.

During the event, Instructor Lee shared vividly about some physical weaknesses he had experienced in his younger days, where he then proceeded to demonstrate and explain the “Love Your Feet” exercises step-by-step.

The one-hour demonstration and explanation greatly benefited the participants by improving their daily movement activities and many eagerly approached Instructor Lee during lunch to seek for more advice.

Participants are greatly encouraged by this event and are eagerly looking forward to the next program next month on “Care for Your Hands.”

3月26日共有26 位参加者聚集，一起出发到土生华人文化馆参观精美文化和土生华人社群的历史。大家在巴士车上一起唱起娘惹Rasa Sayang, Di Tanjong Katong 等歌曲，大家都眉开眼笑，十分期待这次的参观。 1个半小时的导览讲解，让年长者获益不浅，对土生华人有了一定的了解。回程到爱加倍中心享用特定的娘惹午餐，边用餐，边聊天，享受讨论时间。

On March 26, we had 26 participants setting off together to visit the Peranakan Museum, where they explored the rich culture and history of the Peranakan community.

On the way there, everyone sang Peranakan songs such as “Rasa Sayang” and “Di Tanjong Katong”, everyone was all smiles and looking forward to the visit! The 1.5-hour guided tour was especially enriching for the seniors, giving them a deeper understanding of Peranakan heritage.

After the visit, the group returned to Agape Centre to enjoy a specially prepared Peranakan lunch and had some meaningful discussions together.

农历正月初十，乐龄朋友们齐聚爱加倍中心，欢聚一堂共庆新春！大家唱起耳熟能详的新年歌曲，参与趣味十足的接歌游戏，聆听关于“福”字的典故与寓意。活动高潮则是热闹的捞鱼生和温馨的午餐。70位乐龄伙伴们在欢声笑语中度过愉快时光，彼此送上新年的祝福与问候，尽享佳节团圆的喜悦与情谊。

On Day 10 of Chinese New Year, our senior friends from the community gathered at Agape Centre to celebrate the spring festival. Everyone participated in singing nostalgic and familiar Chinese New Year songs, and also a game of song-linking. They also got to know more about the meaning and origins of the chinese character, “福”, meaning “fortune”. And of course, a delicious lunch accompanied by louhei to kick off the Chinese New Year! Amidst all the joy, laughter, and smiles, we had 70 seniors joining us as we gave each other words of blessings and greetings and had a great time of gathering and friendship.

We just held our first pickleball gathering last sunday! Thank you to 29 participants, old and new, for coming down for a fun-filled time of pickleball. 🏓

约35位乐龄人士应邀携手迎新年，在爱加倍中心聚集一起挥春与制作红包灯笼。
在书法老师的引导下，乐龄们勇于尝试执笔挥出了祝福语，心中满满的为自己感到骄傲！灯笼由老姐妹教导，从红包封套渐渐折成鱼儿灯笼，过程不容易，但成果却令人赞叹不已！赞哦！

ACTC’s Pine Haven had 35 seniors come together and celebrate the Lunar New Year at Agape Centre through handcrafting couplets and making ornaments.
Under the direction of the calligraphy instructor, they tried their hands at writing blessings, and were very proud of their handiwork! They also had the opportunity to fashion out fish lanterns from red packets. Although the process was not easy, the outcome was indeed rewarding! What an awesome job well done!
